I was in there early doors and had a few cans of Budweiser. La di da me. I was stood outside for a bit near the burger fryer and using my observational skills i noticed every ****er was drinking warm lager that they kept wheeling out with no time in the chest freezer, so i opted for a few cans of bitter which were nice and cold. Moved on to the Metropolis Bar and More Spice, which had air con. Which was nice cos there were some reet sweaty bastards....
It was a blessing in disguise they ran out of lager just as we started to que for a drink went straight to the stadium five pound a pint but at least it was cold .
No idea, just not even any 3G at all, when I had it, I couldn't even get on FB to say my phone was dying quickly! At the stadium I got zilch before it died. Missed some really good pics too, should really have had a back up plan but wasn't expecting the battery to drain so quickly!
My signal was also rubbish was expecting my first 4g signal most of the time struggled to get a signal at all
Aye I were there. Must of made right killing sell those cans at 3 quid a pop. Still, much better value than in the stadium. Got some vids I'll try to upload.
The showpiece national stadium in our capital City seemingly struggles to provide the communication levels we take for granted. The "Club" is an almost unconverted warehouse in an industrial area flogging warm cans for excessive profit and the fun and atmosphere's provided by us visitors. CITY OF CULTURE; WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE...
When they started to kick everyone out upstairs about 3-ish, we went downstairs and they'd closed the bars but we persuaded them to let us buy 1 more, but they only had cider left - that was also £3.
To be fair, all my cans were cold out the fridge. Here's a very short 4 second vid of the table diving.
We went to Crystal when we got there. Got patted down by some gangsters, went in, walked around, saw Deano, but thought it was a weird ****hole, so left and went elsewhere.
They were selling 4 cans for £12, but they'd bought them from Asda and they had '4 cans for £4.49' written on the side. It was full downstairs when I got there and we got ushered upstairs, where they were selling warm beer they'd just bought from the supermarket and there weren't many up there(it was like an 80's warehouse party that had just finished). If I could have gone out the back, I'd have stayed, but twenty of us ended up taking over an Italian restaurant in the Blunts area instead. Nice cold beer, table service, assortment of pizza's, it was all very civilised until the Blunts fans started kicking the windows and shouting abuse.
Years ago I went to a Christmas works do opposite the MI6 building in Vauxhall. During the night a stripper came on the stage and was absolutely rubbish. She was so bad that a girl in the crowd jumped on the stage and stripped off and was fantastic.
Exact turnaround in Moore Spice, which is a curry house. It was a designated City drinking spot, but was still operating as restaurant on the mezzanine floor above. A family of Sheff Utd fans went in for their dinner, and quite unfortunately the Dad of the family had a massive Sheff Utd flag that waved at the Liverpool cheering City fans with a manic face, to moderate abuse. He left it hung outside the main window, so this 'Hull City pub' had a massive Sheff U flag paraded outside.
I was in Moore Spice, it seemed rather jovial until Liverpool scored and the place went mental. I was sickened and left for the stadium immediately. The beer was lovely and cold, but it was rammed to the teeth with Liverpool supporting city shirters, which was obviously dreadful to see and nearly ruined my day. I hope they **** off.
