Real shame about Kelly. Had a lot of potential but playing RB seems to have put a lot of strain on his muscles.

I think he's struggling mentally as well as physically and that is a big problem. To put it into context, he's the same age as Sakho and the difference in experience and class is huge. Kelly is 23, so he's not a youngster anymore - he should be a player who is rotated or playing a lot of games in the first team by now.

Kelly looked like he was coming good three months ago. Don't think we should sell him but it's a shame he's out of the picture again. Sell Coates though, he'll never get near the first team. Bad investment.

Kelly needs to go for himself if anything. Can't see him getting many games here anymore what with his injury record. Maybe a stint out on loan next year in a club that'll play him at CB to see how he gets on.

Coates will do okay for himself in Italy, France or Portugal I think...

Kelly's time seems up... Wisdom was ahead of him and RedCafu is now too. We have Ilori looking good on loan for the 4th CB spot.

Maggio is a quality RB. Juan Zuniga is a Colombian international and marauding LB/LW. Callejon would be perfect for our attack but no chance, Mertens would be good but no chance, Hamsik plays the AM type role and has been rumored to possibly leave.

Watched Napoli a few times this year because they're always on BT sport...

Not impressed with Serie A at all and most of the Napoli players - who were sorely tested by Swansea remember.

Mertens I'd take certainly. But everyone is a risk from that league at the intensity they play at.

How bout that Aquilani fella - he seems to be carrying Fiorentina along so well. Could we be interested in him? He has skill to burn and an eye for goal too. LFC and PL will suit him just fine.

That's the thing isn't it... Serie A drops in quality.

Although Aqua looked like he could've made it here if he'd wanted.

    agree,

i always felt like aqua didn't want to be here and not make an effort, he certainly had the talent, sort of saw that pretty quickly with that fella we got on loan, what's his ruddy name lol, he was another who couldn't be arsed.

anyone feel like that with moses with regards to attitude and effort, or he is just crap? be nice to hear a chelsea fans point of view of him, or you lot going to get rid any way?

Sahin. I think he would have done ago in the DM role but that spot was taken.

    -

Liverpool are preparing a £38m bid for 20-year-old Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, a move that would spark interest among several other Premier League sides.

also, not saying he is not worth it, but to go straight in with that sort of amount.

sounds like column filling space and to start unnecessary friction, as everton wont want to lose his quality, esp if they get top 4, and who knows he may not want to leave, but £38 mill is an odd starting point for what looks like quite savy owners.

    Potentially seamless replacement for Gerrard.

Barkley is a good player with the potential to be very good but £38mil would be laughable for him. We should ask them for him on loan for a season to see if he can hack the pressure of playing for club that is expected to win things

    #1218
  19. We won't spend £38m on any player let alone Barkley! As good as a player as he is, we won't be signing him.
