Well looks like Rio intends to stay. Interesting as he looked certain to be going this summer and it seemed he was more than happy to do so as the relationship between him and Moyes is poor.

So why the change of heart?

    1. Him and Moyes have patched up their difference.

    2. Rio knows Moyes is gone

    3. Rio loves United and has decided to fight the new regime from within

    4. Moyes has been informed his targets for CB are now no longer available and hes got no option

Probably falls in one of the above categories.

    5. Rio wants the same wages for less games.

Reckon he would take a wage cut.

i would keep him in the background as we bed in newer players. Brings experience and knowledge of the game that we are set to lose.

Imagine United lose all their winners and are run by Moyes ( a well established loser and failure of a manager ) and a load of inexperienced players who have never won nothing. disaster.

I agree. And I think he would be more successful in developing players (on and off the pitch) than Giggs.

Probably because the players don't have to worry about their wives and girlfriends getting busy with Giggs. They just need to watch their cocaine supply. <laugh>

I believe Rio has become a bad apple in the camp this season. There have been a few minor incidents, like silly twitter comments. I think Moyes should get rid:biggrin:

Yeh I agree theres been a bad apple. Some guy slagging off our players, the club, the former manager. Funny thing is this 'unnamed character' has acheieved nothing in his life and has an excuse for everything.....valid or not...... 99% of the time its not. I'd get rid as well.
