CAN YOU CONGA 3.10 Pontefract. Can't be bothered to write anything up but just watch a replay of his latest run and you will all see he wasn't knocked around much. 10/1 at the moment surely worth a bet.

I like New Youmzain in the 15.40 Pontefract. Paddy Power going 9/4 which is just about OK. Never raced over this distance before but by Sinndar out of a Sadler's Wells mare I reckon he's bred better than these for this stamina test.

Everytime I look the stated odds have gone with the bookie stated but then another one offers the stated odds. As I have been typing yet another one has gone 9/4 but PP gone in to 15/8. Not sure what to make of all this movement. Does it mean they are all trying to tempt punters in but aren't prepared to go higher than 9/4?

The 9/4 is clearly being snapped up before it goes.

No, it means they don't want to take a bet on it, and are going shorter to try and protect themselves. Either that or they are rank bad value.

New Youmzain's being quite well backed. Little bit of money for Rock Relief also.

Afternoon folks. One of my first 'tips' on here was Elmbridge King who runs in the 7:05 at Tramore again this evening. Sadly he broke down not long after that and it's been a long road getting him back to race fitness since. Today he is ready to run but the ground is a little softer than he would like, it's not the best HC you will see and this horse is decent on good ground. Not confident of winning but he's one to watch when it dries out properly and should win some races over the next few months. He has a chance this eve each way probably at 14's but he would be winning if the ground was good!

Afternoon, comrades. Lasagne, roasties and leeks. Reasonable. 6/10.

Am giving the ‘no bet’ banner an airing in the warm spring sunshine today but tomorrow it will be packed away as COCKTAILS AT DAWN runs in a handicap off just 119, I say, 119 (4.50 Kempers Park). Don’t think I’m exaggerating by saying he’s arguably the best handicapped horse over timber right now. If he can’t win off 119, troops, then I’m a Chinaman.

    Good luck all.

Monday is stew day - pork and vegetable today with a roll and side salad. 7/10 (much Tabasco needed). Glass of pink grapefruit nectar.

Sharwama (me neither) chicken, pitta bread and 'cooling' salad. Not bad not bad. 8/10 followed up by black coffee.
