Given that girouds conversion rate is consistently brought up to slate him with, you'd have to say by being a better finisher, playing in the same was as see are now that Suarez would have scored more goals...
What a load of crap. Have you ever watched Suarez play? He does not wait for anything. Always on the move and always dropping deep to demand the ball. The potential link up play between Suarez and our midfield would have been brilliant.
Also, it's no coincidence that our season fell apart when Walcott and Ramsey got injured. They both offered a big threat going forward with Walcott going past defenders from the flank and Ramsey running past the back four from MF. Also they both complimented Giroud's style of play and linked up with him really well, surprise surprise when they got injured our attack looked toothless. If we had of had Suarez, we would also have had a player who not only scores goals, but who turns the defence around to face their own goal, pretty much on his own at times. That alone would have prevented us from being bunched up in the oppo final third passing and passing looking for the intricate ball which instead ended up with us getting hit on the counter again and again.
He'd never get the ball. Arteta and Ramsey would be to busy passing it backwards and sideways. Hull equalise, get in.
I don't think they can be described as pacey wide men, you total ******. I haven't said that once. That's your twisted way of trying to devalue my point. All 3 of Ramsey, ozil and diaby met the attributes you posted. I even went as far as to say I think we need a natural wide man to play out wide, obviously agreeing that these players don't naturally belong out wide. Your so stupid it's unreal.
The Liverpool manager actually mentioned a (starting) fee , 55 million quid i think , at the beginning of the fiasco. Then we upped our offer by a quid which pi$$ed them off and killed the whole deal.
For our positions to be reversed (as PISKIE stated) that means we need 10 more and Liverpool need 10 less. = 20 point swing. So if Liverpool would have accepted a £60m bid you think that would have been lunacy to have made that bid? You'd rather sit and be angry that Liverpool rejected a £40m clause bid than be happy we'd got one of the best strikers in the world for £60m?
You're right, but when you're trying to slag the manager off it makes it look more dramatic if you make up a ton of crap
"I have to admit I was surprised by their bid of £40 million and £1," Rodgers told reporters. "I always associated Arsenal as a club with class, so there was a wee bit of a game there. "We will just move on and do our own work, and the message is constant - we do not want to sell. I think there will become a point when they will understand that. "They have an interest and put that interest in with two bids that is nowhere near where what Luis would be worth. That is within their right, there is a market for players, but our message is constant." Rodgers has now admitted the moment when Liverpool may have considered selling Suarez has now passed, as agreeing a deal for the striker so close to the start of the season would not be in the club's best interests.
Yes i have, but he's going to take time to get back up to speed, so we're going to have to suffer through Denilson-esque Ramsey again for a while.
In his first game back he came on as a sub and played everything forward, looked the best player on the pitch even in his first sub appearance. His style is all about going forward.... I'm sure you don't watch our team..
Not really. Being out for a year and four months is different. Also, this time he was out with a strain not a leg break. So does not have to overcome any mental problems.
Doesn't matter how much they think he's worth. It was a clause in his contract. It was triggered and Pool reneged.
