Just gutted- I am a pessimist but he do is the only good at the dirty work - we need him particularly for Norwich chels and palace. Hope Lucas and Allen do - just don't see it. Great win tho :)

Absolutely epic celebration by Gerrard, I've never seen him like that before, pure poetry. You do get the feeling that this will be his last opportunity to lift the PL, really hope as a team we pull through, if only for him.

Well played City. No other side has wrested the initiative the way that they did. I was totally bricking it in the 2nd half. Ford's goal showed just how great the pressure was on that pitch today. Kompany's mistake was non-usual and Fords chance was the hardest he's had all game.

Stevie summed it up for me just pure emotion at the end and then straight back to "we've won nothing yet".

As for me I'm on the rum and celebrating todays win. Monday I can start thinking about tractors.

Non-usual? Is that the same as unusual?

Just a quick rating for anyone who didn't see it.

Ming- 7 couple of good saves and punched well.
Johnson-6 lazy wats back again.poor distribution
Skrtel-7 magnificent header and great first half. Looked a little panicky second
Sakho-7 as skrtel, struggled second half
Flanno-7 stood up well and saw off navas but Milner caused him problems.

Gerrard -8 magnificent, covered every part of the pitch. Should have scored
Henderson -7 solid performance spoilt by rash challenge.
Courthino -9 brilliant first half and great finish
    Sterling-9 as courthino

Suarez -7 tried and tried. Great ball for sterling goal.
Sturridge-6 should have scored but looks well off the pace at the moment

Allen 7- covered well and got forward too

Harsh on Johnson. He was no worse than any of the other defenders, plus got a vital header off the line in the first half under real pressure. Flanno would have been an 8, but as you say Milner caused him more problems than Navas (wor that one out?)

Sturridge and Suarez were both poor today... yet we stil scored 3 and won..

That 1 man... no wait 2 man team is doing alright without their 2 men.

Maybe but he never makes a lot of effort to stop crosses. Compare his commitment to flanos

Hid for the first half, (as I am a curse) entered the pub at half time, left about ten minutes later at 2-2. Went back into hiding. Watching it all on replay now. Great result

I think Henderson had a poor game and has been poor for the last 3/4 games. Perhaps he is the one who has started feeling the pressure first? Now is the time for Allen and Lucas to show us what they really have in their locker.

Just in... THe FA are to investigate far east betting scam with Liverpool and England international Glen Johnson.

F.A Chairman Greg Dyke said "The only way a player can play as ****e as that at this level, is if some **** from Taiwan has given you £200,000 to be that ****e!"

Chair of the FA disciplinary committee, Barry Bright added, "Johnson did everything humanly possible today to lose this match for Liverpool, so we are looking into his bank accounts for a sudden influx of money"

    More to follow....
