Nuh! Maybe the Villa game. I just can't honestly say I'm confident of beating any of the others. We may do - lets hope we do for the sake of the club. We already should have beaten Hull and West Brom and Palace. Look how that turned out.
More a worried chappy Phil. There was a time when we could only dream of being in the PL - now we are here I'm desperate to stay here. It's like a drug - playing in the PL, winning a cup, playing in Europe - to lose all that would be an overdose of cold turkey. We all look forward to a new season with high hopes, it seems to take an age for the opening match to come around and the excitement builds as we approach. I just can't help feel that excitement would not be the same if we were in the Championship. Basically I want us to stay up for my own selfish desire for excitement.
I disagree. I love us being in the Prem and that day up at Wembley when we got promoted is still my best day as a Swans supporter. But I actually liked the Championship. It's less predictable than the Prem, there are some decent teams and you see some good football. Having said that I'd rather stay where we are!
I'm expecting us to lose today, so the performance is more important than the result for me. That said, with the right performance we might get something if Chelsea are still feeling the effects of the CL tie.
I don't think a draw's too unrealistic as the lads should be well up for this one. I don't think any of us are expecting anything from it, I just hope we don't lose by another defensive calamity or an annoying ref's decision. There are some right pessimystic Megs on the board at the moment. We're not getting relegated and will pick up more points.
Well, I'm over from the US for this one so a result is on the cards...don't see us lose often when I'm here. 2-1 Swans. JDG and Michu.
If I had said that I'd have been accused of being negative and wanting Chelsea to win. Luckily I predicted 1-1.
Lasts 9 matches under Laudrup - 1 win, 2 draws = 5 points Last 9 matches under Monk - 2 wins, 3 draws = 9 points Monk isn't doing as bad as Laudrup. We should be able to beat Villa and Southampton. Should also be able to pick up a point against Chelsea and possibly Newcastle. And should beat Sunderland. Not saying we'll get any points, but points are possible from every remaining match if players put in the effort.
Team News: #SWANS: Vorm, Rangel, Chico Flores, Williams (c), Davies, Britton, Shelvey, Dyer, Routledge, Hernandez, Bony. #SWANS SUBS: Tremmel, Amat, Taylor, De Guzman, Fulton, Ngog, Emnes. No Michu!!!!
Well I'm glad to see Pablo back at 10. Looks a strong side, nice to see the lad Fulton being called up.
Wasn't in the training vid posted somewhere earlier in the week. Given his performances since returning his only asset has been to provide a 'presence'. Hope he's not injured but he does need more time to get up to speed and time is what we haven't got!
With the Liverpool result, if we can get something today may very well put one hand on the PL trophy.
