Not being at the game what was the atmosphere like from the fans ,did they get behind the team and the manager .
Was pretty good actually, although you could sense the fact that many have accepted our fate. I'd say the crowd stuck with the ;ads right until the death, which we tend to do when we can see some effort. Lads we decent yesterday, Everton were surprisingly flat, IMO.
I was sitting right in front of the Everton fans and they were an absolute disgrace chanting during the minutes silence. " Tough **** for the 96 " Could not believe it, especially coming from the same place as those that were killed. A few of our fans were shouting up telling them to be quiet ( not in those words exactly) but they got the gist of it. I bet every other ground in the country was silent and ours was spoilt by those scouse bastards.
Yeah it was shocking. As was the Tit in the South stand who saw fit to try and start the haway lads chant.
I think they were chanting Justice for the 96 after the minute silence. Surely they wouldn't chant tough ****
I didn't boo anybody pal I couldn't because I was happy with the team selection & the players played well against a good Everton team.
Plus, I was surprise how low the crowd was, 38,000 is poor. how can we get 43,000 against Hull & Palace but can't against Everton. I think people have given up already
There wasn't an aplause either was there? The full time whistle went it just went all quiet and eerie. I do have an ear infection so It may have just been me. Heard the Everton fans though. Disgusting. The Police were all over the Colliery Arms before the game because an Everton fan worked himself and got sparked out
Some people clap & some just walk out. I clap them off like. Everton fans are just big mouth soft ****s & hopefully more of the ****s got knock out.
Your fans (the ones who showed up ) were amazing considering the dross you have been served up. One thing I did notice was the look of resignation beforehand. Brilliant noise though. Just a pity a small section of Everton fans booed the silence for the 96.
