We have experienced a 4 year gap in our European appearances and yet, to listen to some other fans, you might believe that we have somehow become European novices. Strange that.

Context needed, who have you played that's decent in the past few league games? Any decent side you've had big trouble? First you need to clear out then rebuild, you'll be building on jones and de gea and Evans at the back which I don't think is right and you'll be building on Rooney which again isn't right as he is hit and cold

If you build on mata and janusaj you have to find the system that works and add a lot of pace to those two

Finally midfield is an aging carrick, again much work needed

If moyes is the man for you great cos frankly kroos, gundogen, koke and the like are all great links but you can't buy all and pay all until others go for ffp, and not all will be intersted

Everton's fixtures are too hard for them to get top 4 in my opinion. Man City & Man Utd home plus Southampton away.

Arsenal's toughest game is Hull away, and all the teams they play are bottom half teams bar Newcastle who are probably the worst team in the league at the moment.

I can see Arsenal winning 4 or 5 out of 5 while Everton only win 2 or 3 of their games.

    We'll has Rodgers played it?

    We've players who've a lot of experience

But most of all that 4 years has ruin our ranking so our draw will be hard

I think we will need to finish 3rd to get group phase then we need to develop a bus parking mentality like Chelsea and utd to qualify bout of a group the might have real, Barca, bayern in it as top seeds and a second seed that could be quite strong too. If we get a Leverkusen style second seed we can progress

personally i would rather play them games as the players even though shouldn't be like that, will be more up for those type of games than say against Sunderland, norwich etc.

they have momentum and a feel good factor there, so that's a good thing and the players will be desperate to play cl football if they can.

No, Rodgers has not managed in the CL but he has senior players and of course Kenny who he can call upon for advice should he need it. However I do agree that life will be easier if we get 3rd or above.

Everton are just the type of team to make the 'hardship' of their remaining matches a stimulus

Everton wouldn't. Some of their fans apparently hope they lose to City just to stop us winning the title, even if it means finishing 5th.

@Tobes, are you disappointed by the fans that say that & is that sort of attitude holding back your club?

But it's not about fans! Ask any of the Everton players if they would forgo CL football for a bit of rivalry or perhaps more importantly ask Matinez.

Anyone who genuinely thinks that we'd sacrifice 4th place if it stopped you lot winning the league has got rocks in their head.

It's obviously a nightmare scenario for us that we could possibly hand you the league title on a plate should we beat City (yet again), but there'll not be a Blue in Goodison that day who'd give a **** if it also made 4th as good as ours.

Your lot shouldn't give a sh!t about it. You have a great chance to qualify for the champions league, doesn't matter what we do.

Every player should be on a bonus for cl I think Everton can take points off city but most of all will beat utd and Southampton

We beat Southampton they are now end if season, Everton are good! Perhaps very good if you think about Coleman, Baines, Howard, McCarthy, mirallas, lukaku, Barkley....

I think Everton can do it

Sylvain Distin said it. He must be hearing it from quite a few Everton fans to actually mention it in an interview. I don't think the players would sacrifice 4th place to lose against Man City but it'll make it harder for the team if some people aren't supporting the team on the day at Goodison.

There's a massive difference between saying you'd rather finish 5th if it stopped you winning the league, when 4th looked a real stretch anyway (which it was only a week or so back) and saying it now when it's effectively in our hands....

There won't be a single Evertonian who wants anything but an Everton win that day now. If we were out of it, that'd be different

    Come on let's play nicely!

For the first time for years both of our clubs have it in their hands to make this a very very good season. Let's be happy with that and support each other. Just think how drunk the city will be if we both qualify for the CL.

Oh OK then. I think Everton will get 4th. See I haven't been sick!

Have you seen Chavs bench, the amount of money in fees and wages just sat bench warming.
