I don't know if it's just me but the media as a whole is not giving us the credit and attention that we deserve! It's all about Brighton, Bournemouth, QPR and the rest! I suppose in a way that it is a good thing as we quietly go about our business and the expectations on us are a lot lower but it does still irk me! Mick should get Manager of the year for turning this club around and getting us into this position by spending no money on transfers! <ok>

I would say the fact we've spent no money is the reason for the lack of media attention, it was amusing watching The Football League Show last night, our credit seemed very forced.

It's noticeably not just the Media though. Opposition fans continually exclaim surprise about where we are in the table and say we'll never make the play-offs.

I really do think that this is playing right into Mick's hands because he uses it to create a siege mentality within the group. I am sure that he will be saying to these players something along the lines of look guys everyone outside doesn't rate you or our chances so let's bloody well show them how good we are! I'm loving this bloody minded never say die attitude that our players have got! Clearly the players have completely bought into Mick's philosophy and it was just so apparent yesterday! No team in this league looks forward to playing Ipswich now! We are nobody's push overs anymore and every team that we play knows that they will have to battle to get anything. This is a major change and I'm pleased that the perception amongst rival fans and teams is changing towards us.

Right now Bournemouth should be getting all the attention, they're doing amazingly. Our reputation has been forged over the past decade and particularly over the previous 4 wilderness seasons. I doubt the manager or players are bothered in the slightest. If we make it into the playoffs though Jonny Williams' and some of our own lads' stock is going to rise.

Good post warky, and this new attitude is a welcome feature - it def makes up lack of silky skills in some players! He knlws it, they know it, we all bloody well know it...and it seems to make the whole team play for each other. But I am worried bout our lack of goals from those who should be potting them in. But, it is equally nice that defenders are scoring as regularly as forwards! Silver lining and all that.

I will say again, mind those cherries & seagulls, and believe we will end up an agonisingly arse tight 7th missing out by a GD!<wah>

More than that, we didn't spend any money on transfers for ANY of the starting 11 yesterday

Wigan play Reading on Friday, who the hell do we want to win that or would a draw be better? Personally i think a draw would be great for us, wigan have some tough games left and are far from guaranteed a play off spot!!

Reading to lose to Leicester tomorrow but then beat Wigan. Provided we beat Watford that would be the ideal set of results for us.

Just saw the highlights JWM, and it made good viewing.
We should've been a few goals up in the first half. Hyam's sliding tackle just outside our box was fantastic, I can see why he's in the team every week. Tyrone delivered a great ball (Cressyesque) for Murphy's header and Chambo's finish was good for a centre half. Obviously we were lucky that a foul wasn't called in the build up. Could have added more goals to the tally but it looked to have been an enjoyable game on the whole.
