Now that the dust has settled. A great victory, and a much-needed one for both the team, and Wenger. If they'd lost yesterday I really think it would have been curtains for him. Great from the lads to step up and take very solid penalties, and fantastic from Fabianski. Looked very good for morale that everyone ran over to mob him after the last one was tucked away too. However, a team that is meant to be challenging for the title going a goal down to a Championship side and failing to beat them in 120 mins was extremely disappointing. And further, there was a stark difference between Wenger trying to inspire the players and Rosler, in that Wenger really isn't very inspiring. Really hoping that the lads go on and lift the trophy. Hoping for an Arsenal v Shef Utd final, though I'll have extremely split loyalties for that one.
Thanks Mussolini. There's no "us" here. It's Arsenal. I don't refer to them as "us" as there's nothing a bunch of grown men posting on the internet can do to affect the result unless they go to the game So really, it's not a case of being "with us or against us," it's a case of watching a game of football on TV that you can do absolutely nothing to affect.
Good luck in the final. The enduring emotion I'm left with after that is quite specific - Nick Powell, **** off back to Manure, I hope I never see you in a Wigan shirt again.
We stopped at Corley services on the M6 on the way home last night. There were loads of Wigan fans there. One asked if we'd been to Wembley,I replied no,we'd been to an Arsenal themed fancy dress party.****ing norvern monkeys
Just an inconsequential and puerile observation, but when we play Hull in the FA cup final the score on the TV in the corner will read: Ars Hul
if top four doesn't mean anything then why do clubs bother trying to get into the top four. once you have been knocked out of the CL, and you finish 1 place above us [in the top four] and we have won the FA Cup and you have won **** all this season, ask yourself how you feel.
