Yes it probably did effect some players over the years when we were not achieving our objectives. However, even though we may not have won the league for so long we have collected a number of trophies including (yet another!) European Cup so the unrest would have been offset to some degree.

In terms of our development a top 4 finish would supersede a cup win for us as it was achieved probably 1 season before it was planned for. Arsenal will find comfort in a cup win (due to their continuing trophy desert) but if they lose the 4th spot to Everton it will be tinged with more than a little discomfort.

 

Yeh I'll be ecstatic to win a trophy but disappointed ted if we drop from the top 4 whilst doing it. Still think we can and will achieve both though

 

Well your better off starting a card school with Utd fans on Tues/wed nights next season in a room without a television.

 

I'm sure you've got loads of hobbies that fill up cl nights that you could advise me on

But I'm still confident we will attain top 4 and be in the competition next season

 

Well its suited the biggest club in England every year bar two for the last 22 years so why not.

 

Hey, I love watching Real and Bayern, there are quite a few teams in the CL well worth watching, I may even watch you lot if you get drawn against anyone good

Yup. And rightly so. I think he should be happy with his time there anyway. Considering he's had arguably 2 of the top 10 managers in football history as competition in Mourinho & Ferguson, the spending power of Utd & Chelsea to compete with I think he's done well to win what he has at Arsenal. Its at an European level he'll be disappointed with his achievements IMO. Especially with the 'invincibles' who underachieved massively at a European level.

 

He got us to two European finals so not all bad. Was a real shame the invincibles didn't do better in Europe.

I was talking about top four trophy AND silverwear, think the top four trophy may only be 19 though.

 

Arsenal ain't gonna qualify IMO, the blues are a better team and more consitant.

 

Didn't say you weren't in the final, but fact is you drew the game. Play like that in the final against Hull and you'd prob lose to be fair.
