http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alan-pardew-local-press-not-6982537 Alan Pardew says that the âlocal pressâ have not helped Newcastle United in recent weeks. The Magpies have now won just three games out of 16 in all competitions and failed to score in 360 minutes of Premier League football. Pardew refused to take a question from the Chronicle in his post-game press conference on a day when the fans displayed banners calling for him to go and chanted âPardew outâ. He said afterwards: âFour defeats for Newcastle is going to bring its own pressure. âI donât think the local press have helped.â And reflecting on fan protests he said: âYeah of course. âFour defeats as a Newcastle manager, we have 10 senior players missing. âIt is a difficult hole to try to fill. âTheir frustration has boiled over a little bit. âAnd we need to settle it down. âThe only way to settle it down is to get a win.â please log in to view this image As much as people might not like Poyet, thank god we don't have this guy at the helm
The press should enjoy healthy relationships with football clubs, not behave like children and spark a campaign of juvenile, piss taking, taunting and goading. No wonder society is ****ed when our media behave this way. Yes Pardew has been a dick yet again, can't it be reported with a bit of class? The Sun with ourselves is an other prime example. It's all just so tacky, sad and an appalling representation of Britain. ****ing hate the press. The fact that Pardew shows himself up all on his own makes it even less necessary. They should let the clown's own actions and words tell the story, not get down in the mud with him. Trash
I must admit whilst i found the picture rather amusing it is daft Id argue a lot of this countries problems are created due to the press with bias stories and utter rubbish created to promote gossip
As one of your posters pointed out, you are bottom of the league. You can't say anything. Enjoy Brighton and Brentford next season.
I'm pretty sure I can say 0-3 2-1 0-3. I can also say Newcastle United Relegated in the 2008–09 season. Did I mention I can say 0-3 2-1 0-3?
You want to talk about a relegation from five years ago? One that actually proved beneficial to our club as it cleared out the deadwood? Fair enough, but while we're at it, I feel it's only fair that I mention the 5-1 as well. I mean - it is more recent.
Not more recent than 0-3 2-1 0-3, but if you're bringing up results that proceed your recent whippings then 1-9 still a record, as long as it's a record, it's relevant.
