tbf we were ****ed before this game. At least they put in a shift. Horrid luck, that is the way it's been all season though
That`s it exactly. Borini has a shot, their bloke gets in the way and saves a goal. They have a go, Brown gets in the way and it deflects in. Sheer desperate bad luck. But, that`s the way it goes.
I've had a niggling feeling you'd survive all season, but I think that's probably it now, especially with the other results. Today would have been the day to take advantage of West Brom throwing away that lead and Norwich looking doomed. The other two did and think they might both survive at the expense of Norwich and West Brom. Take no joy in typing this. It's looking like a **** year in general for north-east and cumbria football (apart from maybe Gateshead)
There are some awful teams in this premier league and to finish at the bottom of it is pretty woeful! Our uneven fixture list, early season turmoil, poor quality players and bad luck hasnt helped but the thing that hurts most is the lack of effort for the majority of matches and the constant act of shooting ourselves in the foot!!!! But what may hurt even more was the fact that for about 2 weeks i genuinely believed we were gonna stop up! I wish they didnt hit that purple patch and give me hope cos up until then i was certain we were doomed anyway! Teasing bastards!!!
We are Sunderland. We are proud. I love my club in every or any.division. Unlike some. Today I saw something g that was missing against west ham and spurs. Heart. We had it. I thought we deserved something out of the game. When you have no luck you.simply can't produce any. Every deflection fell their way. But I'm Happy with the performance. That's all I wanted
Still believe "somehow" we can stay up, today was a great display and we were so unlucky but we can defo pick up a few moe points this season, we can beat the teams at home for sure....
If we showed some of that 'heart' against the lesser teams we wouldnt be in such a pickle! Instead the players seem to **** themselves when we are expected to go out a win a game! They cant seem to handle the pressure of being favourites in a game! Whether thats the players or managers/staff's fault I just dont know!
Well that was a kick in the balls. Lads were excellent. Guess it is what it is like, looking horribly like going down bottom in a very, very weak league, and that's a sickener.
I'm with you Marcus. We were doomed before today and I hadn't liked what I'd seen recently as far as effort and commitment was concerned. Really liked what I saw today and the (few) players who will be with us next season in the Champ looked OK. Whickham, in particular, deserves a mention. He had something about him today that has been difficult to see in his sporadic appearances so far. Bring on the Championship!
They weren't excellent and they didnt try. We were **** against an under par Everton. Ki and borini again never bothered to get out of second gear. If Wickham spent as much time on his football aa he does his eyebrows he'd have got a goal today. Oshit set the tone after two minutes, three easy short passes, but punts it into the East stand . We were ****ing woeful apart from Cattermole. The lack of ability is unbelievable, do we have more than one player who can put the ball in the net? Absolute fu.cking shambles!!!!!!
Thought so too. Our clearance defending was pleasing to see at times, after how poor we've defended at times this season trying to play it out of an area just too tight. I back our passing style of play, but sometimes you need to just boot it
Where do you lay the blame for your current situation.? Brucie MON Paulo Di Nazio Poyet your chairman or any combination of? I hope you stay up but its unlikely now.
as long as its not you why worry, look at some previous posts instead of asking the same pointless one
I love my club and hate what's happened to it. I love the incredible support and hate what they're going through. I love the decent people on here and hate the humourless sneering ****ers. I love going to the games and hate not being there like today. It doesn't matter whether we're in the Premier League or not, we'll never ever win it or even get close. We all used to laugh at the Scottish league with Celtic & Rangers guaranteed to win everything. Now the English League is the same and it's ****e. Clubs like Newcastle or Southampton may believe they're making progress but it's all smoke & mirrors. My greatest memories of 40 years support are the wonderful people I've attended matches with or just bumped into. I see the same faces year after year and there's some great people who follow the Lads year after year. They'll be there next season and so will I along with some of those who post on here. Whatever the case I'll be proud to be amongst decent people who love the club like I do.
