Gonna be some intresting reviews and the Harry, Zamo and benny haters are gonna have a hard time... Wonder if any of them will post...?
great game, 5 goals, 5 different scorers. Zamora did very well, 1 goal and 1 assist in 15 mins he played, and won every ball sent his way. Carroll had his best game for us by far, hope he keeps his form to the playoffs. Yossi MOM for me (never thought the day would come), his opening goal just showed willpower, and he was very influential in the defence as well as attack. Charlie got an important 75mins under his belt to get his match fittness up before play-offs. Whole team played exceptionally well, apart from defending set-pieces, we have to get that sorted. Quote of the day, the Sky Sports commentator saying after Neds goal: "Who needs Charlie Austin when you got Nedum Onuoha!"
Excactly. Dunne was the MoM for forest. He either gave ball away or gave easy corner to forest. The defending after that was so lousy that you have to wonder if he was ever playing for eire. Nevertheless great victory as numeral wise. Zamora was good and better than charlie today. Rævel waked up for just after forest equlised. Dont get carrtied away because this victory because forest was awful without their good corners.
Harry gets in in the neck still, why did we have to wait until the 42nd game of the season for a decent performance and why can't we defend from corners? BAE - everyone knows he is class when he can be bothered, he did his job today but didn't stand out above some other very good individual performances. If Zamora played like that for 15 minutes of every game he has played for us no one would be on his back. He still managed to miss an open goal and miss the target (when offside) with a free header.
3 goals came with Kranjcar on the pitch think he brings great balance and calmness to the midfield play picking passes when on form he has been class for us...........rrrrrrrrrrrrssssss
You think one victory against a team who has won in months dismisses all the previous problems? Yes it was a win and most played well but based on one game, do you want the likes of dunne zamora redknapp etc back next season? My opinion doesnt flip flop on one game. As for redknapp, he made a sub defending a corner which is a massive no no and nearly cost us the match.
Thanks for obliging. I agree about your hopes for next season, glad you acknowledge that most played well today. Let's savour the victory and the performance, been waiting for a long time. I hope Redknapp recognises that is a strong starting eleven.
Green 7 Simpson 7 Onouha 7 Dunne 5 BAE 7 Jenas n/a Carroll 8 MOM Benayoun 8 Morrison 8 Hoilett 7 Austin 6 Subs: Henry 7 Zamora 7 Kranjcar 7
Yes, he might have been at fault for their set piece goals, and I'm sure he would have been disappointed, but he had some strong points too, but it was all about a strong team effort today coming back strongly after conceding those goals. From another corner Danny Simpson also saved the day on the goal line and Rob Green also made an excellent save. Everyone put in a strong shift today, no-one shirked their responsibilities. We definitely require some serious training ground practice though on defending set pieces, as we likely won't have the luxury of scoring five goals in the upcoming playoff matches. I would like to see us in 3rd spot to hopefully play Reading in the semi, rather than Wigan.
