Palace and West Ham at home and Norwich away absolutely. Big Question marks over Gus for the 'player's feel more confident with 5 at the back" comments. He should be telling them what formation they play. Something tells me a certain Mr Oshea thought he could mask his own shortcomings with an extra defender next to him to bail him out so told Poyet to try it......
i would rather play four at the back, and have bardsley in O'Sheas spot, with gardner at RB than John play
cant make the game today, i couldnt get the day of work and im pissed right off. its the first home game i have missed in 9 years. after gus defeatest press conference after the spurs game its hard to feel anything about this game
Sunderland XI: Mannone, Bardsley, Alonso, O'Shea (c), Brown, Cattermole, Ki, Colback, Johnson, Wickham, Borini. Subs: Larsson, Gardner, Cuellar, Vergini, Giaccherini, Scocco, Ustari. Everton XI: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Stones, Distin, McCarthy, Barry, Deulofeu, Naismith, Osman, Lukaku
Everton go 2 up early on. We huff and puff then, for the last 20 mins, bring on Scocco for Johnson and Gardner for Catts (despite Catts being the only player who seems to give a toss) Giach might get a run out later on as well. Ring a bell?
No mention. `Gus Poyet has made three changes to his side ahead of this afternoon's home game against Everton. Captain John O'Shea is restored alongside Wes Brown, with Santiago Vergini missing out, while Jack Colback returns to make his first start since the defeat at Norwich ahead of Carlos Cuellar. Meanwhile Connor Wickham comes back into the starting line-up in place of Liam Bridcutt`
ive grown up in the midlands, with my dads side of the family all from the NE. Unfortunatley i work and live in essex now for my job, but i have serious **** luck seeing the lads. Ive only seen them win 3 times, once vs Burnley, once vs barrow and once vs peterborough. ive seen the **** games like Aston villa 6 -1 sunderland & Sunderland 1 - 4 bolton, also travelled up and watched Sunderland 0 - 0 QPR. If i lived up int the NE, id try to make every game, but i have real admiration for those that can and DO attend every home game. Id love to do and im extremely jealous
Lads! got a mindfuck for you! please log in to view this image Not meaning to be rude to Alonso...but i know who I'd rather played for SAFC!
