I agree, the whole left side is a shambles defensively. Same to a lesser degree on the right, Sagna was left on his own at times against Everton.
Podolski does nothing defensively. Would be an idea to put Gnabry and Chambo on the wings. Whilst they can't actually tackle, they can both make up ground to get into position defensively.
Can't wait for the game tomorrow, a chance to get to another final. We've been in a handful of cup finals over the last 8 seasons and hopefully the game tomorrow puts us in with a chance to finally break the trophy less period. Big game for the team and the fa cup has given us some great games so far this season.
I know we all have different views about what our club needs to get back to the top, but let's all get behind the lads tomorrow as this is a golden opportunity to get to a cup final, which if we win it will give us a massive boost.
This can go one of two ways. It'll inspire, or, if the performance is rubbish and they lose, it'll be an awful lot of disgruntled noise. This is the biggest game of the last few years for Wenger. Bigger than the Birmingham final by a long way. Whether he stays or goes should be decided in the next 10 hours.
I was just about to post something similar. I think this is probably one of Wenger's most important games ever, if not the most important in terms of his career. It's basically win or bust for Wenger now. If we get knocked out of the semi final, then I can't see him staying on to be honest.
Exactly. But winning doens't guarantee he'll stay either - it's merely a stay of execution dependent upon winning the cup and securing 4th. Essentially, he can't win the fans today, but he sure as hell can lose them. Going to be an immensely pressured game for him.
I think getting to the cup final will be a massive boost for the manager, players and fans. But I agree the pressure is sky high for Wenger. It's win or bust today.
Biggest game in recent years because of the chance to go through to a final if we win. I had a dream we beat Wigan 5-1
