The Sky Sports cameras will once again be present, as the Hoops play host to a Forest side without a win in their previous 12 second tier fixtures. That alarming run of form resulted in the sacking of Billy Davies last month and although the Reds have since appointed Stuart Pearce as his replacement, the former England Under-21 and Manchester City coach won’t actually take official charge until next season. Gary Brazil has been handed the reins until the end of the current campaign and – with just four points separating the Tricky Trees from the top-six – he knows his side have it all to play for, despite a desperately disappointing run of late. Forest will be without Danny Collins who is suspended after his red card on Tuesday night, so Kelvin Wilson may return to the side after missing the clash against Sheffield Wednesday. The game looks to have come too soon for Andy Reid and David Vaughan, but there could be a place in the side for Marcus Tudgay who netted Forest's second goal in midweek. Rangers, too, have plenty at stake this weekend, with a three game winless run seeing them slip to fourth, albeit still nine points clear of seventh place. Boss Harry Redknapp is hopeful of being able to call on the services of Nedum Onuoha, Aaron Hughes, Niko Kranjcar and Jermaine Jenas again after they all returned to training this week. However, the R's chief is likely to be without skipper Clint Hill, Joey Barton and Armand Traore with the trio missing through injury. TEAM NEWS QPR striker Charlie Austin might start against Nottingham Forest after making two substitute appearances since recovering from the shoulder injury which kept him out for three months. Nedum Onuoha (calf), Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Hughes and Jermaine Jenas (all hamstring) might return to the squad. Nottingham Forest midfielder David Vaughan looks set to return after recovering from a knee cap problem. Danny Collins is suspended and Radoslaw Majewski (illness) is out. cheers Norway yet again the opposition manager wins louise always looks like she is going to burst into tears any second now
Cheers Yes it is time consuming but it takes less time when you have done it before as you can use the same layout. Said it the last time too, credit to Nines for doing this week in week out all season It is the manager search that takes the most time though, not that I'm complaining...
Probably all part of Nines' master plan. Mackie against BAE could be a key battle. I'm sure we all remember what a torrid time "our Jamie" gave "their Assou-Ekotto" at LR against Spurs a couple of seasons ago.
Let's hope a return to W12 brings a change of fortune this lunchtime. Some dreadful selections and form over the last month. There are however some signs of sunshine amongst the dark clouds of despair.... Nedum Onuaha, Jermaine Jenas and Nico Kranjcar are all passed fit. Will Charlie Austin start I wonder? A big absence is Joey Barton - still out with a thigh injury - and the improving Armand Traoré out nursing an ankle injury. Wolverhampton loan signing Kevin Doyle is back in training on Monday. He at least knows where the goal is - more than can be said for the abject William Keane and ineffective Modibo Maiga. I still haven't worked out why we released Javier Chevanton in January.... I'm sure Harry's got a story to tell there.... Let's hope that Jamie Mackie has an off day too! COYRs!!!!!
No, not all matches - I think it's 18 wins when he's been in the team compared to 3 when he's been absent. I posted a few stats up recently that explored this further - I headed the post 'we need to talk about Joey' [a satirical play on the Lionel Shriver's novel, we need to talk about Kevin ] Here's a link to it: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/256943-We-need-to-talk-about-Joey?highlight=talk Joey Let me know your thoughts.
It has only just occured to me that when are observing the one minute silence today, we will be in the company of the other club that was at Hillsborough on that fateful day. Although it wouldn't have been to the same degree as Liverpool, I'm sure that Nottingham Forest Football Club & it's supporters also suffered from that day. it will be an honour to be in their company today. Don't think I've ever been so apathetic about Rangers. If we win 5-0 or lose 5-0 I'm not that fussed.
