He might be, he'll be warned probably and then its down to him isnt it. Some of the **** on this site from some is absolutely pathetic and these ****s need to realise it wont be tolerated Anyway, on topic, Gerrard (being a dying breed of one man club players, you've had Scholes, Giggs and Neville) absolutely deserves a Premiership medal! All the pundits say it, surely you Utd fans cant disagree???!!!!
The stats for Suarez and Sturridge are ridiculous, they're an anomaly. You don't do that every season. I think this is still your best chance of winning a title the way things are. I really should start another thread for this, but I think Liverpool next season - with the commitment of CL footy as well as the demands of the Prem and domestic cups, AND Livpl fans expecting more, and United in the mix good and proper for top 4, will once again cause Liverpool to struggle more than any of the other top 5 or 6. What I'm trying to say is although Liverpool have been phenominal in one season, does not mean they've established themselves into the top 4 just yet, let alone being likely to challenge for the title again in the short term. There are a couple of things that will change that - firstly winning it this season (secures belief in the players for the future), and secondly the players (particularly the defenders) you buy in the summer.
Saurez and Sturridge started off that form last season, came back after the summer and continued even though Luis was banned for 5 league games he came back firing, sturridge has never stopped since he signed for us last year. So how is it an anomaly if they had the form last season and carried it into this season and maintained it ALL season ? I think maybe you want to look at Suarez stats for the past 6 years, you'll see there is no anomaly in his form stats
Don't want to get into this again, but yes I do disagree. Not anything against Gerrard, but I fundamentally disagree with the view that players 'deserve' anything in football. If you deserve something, you win it, end of. There are plenty of great PL players (Zola, Fabregas, Desailly) who haven't won a PL medal, not to mention loads of one club men. Not sure how any of them 'deserve' to win a medal less than Gerrard does.
I feel filthy even saying this and I would much prefer Chelsea then City to win the league ahead of them but if Liverpool do win the league then I will only be able to admire them for it. There, I said it. Time for a shower.
To be fair Liverpool have done everything right and not just chucking millions of pounds at the team, I still want those ****s to lose though!!
I don't need to Sisu, it's not just about him, otherwise you would have been challenging for the title in previous seasons so his stats aren't really the point. It's moreso the dynamics between Suarez and Sturridge (and Sterling). My other reason for saying it's an anomaly are the stats for the Premier League. Its history show how unique a season them 3 are having. It will be hard to repeat next year (let alone better which is what I believe you will need to do for the reasons I stated in the previous post).
Lets assume that the following 11 names were playing against Liverpool 1. Heinrich Himmler 2. Bin Laden 3. Saddam Hussain 4. Al Capone 5 & 6 The Kray twins 7. Charles Manson 8. Joseph Stalin 9 The Yorkshire ripper 10. Donald Nielsson 11. Harold Shipman Manager Adolf Hitler Any guesses who I would be supporting ?
I was only talking about your unfounded assumption that Suarez and Sturridge scoring regularly this season is an anomaly. it quite clearly isn't. Between them they have missed a fair few and hit the woodwork quite a bit, they could have and really should have a fair few more goals tbh.
