Best draw for us, though Atletico Madrid will say the same.

Probably one of the hardest draws for you considering that Athletico is the best Spanish side at the moment. They also have one of the best defenses in Europe and a good attack.

A little info on Athletico's manager Simeone:

On December 23, 2011, Simeone was unveiled as the new Atlético Madrid coach, succeeding Gregorio Manzano. On May 9, 2012, Simeone won the UEFA Europa League with Atlético Madrid beating Athletic Bilbao 3–0. On August 31, 2012 he won UEFA Super Cup with same team beating Chelsea 4–1, earning his first two European trophies. On May 17, 2013, he won the Copa del Rey with Atletico Madrid beating Real Madrid 2-1.[18] Simeone led the team to a 3rd place finish in 2012-13 La Liga, the club's best finish in the competition since 1996. In 2014, Simeone led Atletico to their first Champions League semi final in over 30 years, defeating Barcelona 2-1 on aggregate.

Athletic are a very good side, but we love big games here.

We do not fear them like other fans I could mention <whistle>

worst draw for us imho. Atletico are exactly the type of gritty sell organised streetwise side we tend to have difficulty breaking down.

Yeah Atletico are the side i wanted to avoid too, they're too similar to us in the way we set up, solid defence and hard to break down. They have a massive advantage over us though with the firepower they have, Costa and Villa.

As for Courtois i personally think he should play. Imagine getting to a European cup semi final and being told you can't play. Shocking. I know we owne but he hasn't even played for us before. We should use this as a bargaining tool for Costa in the summer.

Got an advantage playing the first leg away from home but it will be difficult.

It is definitely gonna be a bore fest, it will be like the Chelsea v Liverpool games when Benitez and Mourinho clashed. 2 games of 0-0s or 1-0 either way, where both teams are parking the bus. The Bayern Real semi will be far more entertaining

Yeh such a shame, was hoping for that to be the Final tbh. It's a good argument for why UEFA should fix these draws tbh <laugh>

    <laugh>Valdano called those matches a '**** on a stick'

We wouldn't want a repeat of 2008: United parking the bus for 180 mins to beat the worst Barca side for 20 years 1-0 ...that finished 17 points off the top of La Liga. <whistle>

Well done jinxing the other semi though KS. Your WUM predictions are wore than Matth's

Chelsea fans are getting close to the scousers in terms of there delusion. You guys play ****e football, and everyone knows it, and can blatantly see it, yet you argue against it. If you accept it and you win a trophy then fair enough but stop trying to kid everyone, by making out you play good football as your brand is dire. It is like watching trench warfare at times. You are the sort of team Tony Pulis would build if he had a blank Cheque book. Even your owner has moaned about this, and was desperate to get Guardiola to improve things but had to settle with Mourinho, the greatest bus Parker of them all

Yeah we parked the bus playing a 442 in both games, you delusional clown. Rooney and Tevez are both strikers, and we played Ronaldo who did very little tracking back from the right wing. We just had an amazing defence with an in there prime Vidic an Rio at the back. We certainly weren't set up to parking the bus. We are not Chelsea, Fergie never parked the bus, and that was probably his downfall in the 2 finals he lost to Barca. Though atleast he can have his head held high having tried to play football the proper way against them, rather than trying to stifle them, like Chelsea have always done

So crossing the ball is parking the bus in your eyes? You really do know nothing about football, if you think teams who cross the ball are 'parking the bus'

You cross the ball to score goals, getting lots of balls into the box is an attacking way of playing. I am really starting to worry about some of you on here, as it's like discussing football with scousers.

Teams who cross the ball are apparently negative sides, in the eyes of this chav. I really have heard it all now:biggrin:

Do you genuinely enjoy watching this United side under Moyes then Shergar? Even the crossfest against Fulham?

Mourinho sold your number 10 Mata because he isn't good at running around chasing after the ball and tackling, despite having 2 central defensive midfielders behind him. Mourinho will never play a 442 as he's Mr 'I park the bus' but that isn't enough defensive cover for him. He even selects the number 10, the main link between midfield and attack based on there abilities to defend. He's a number 10 ffs! His job is not to defend!!!

Mourinho is a disease that has targeted the beautiful game, and for the good of the game his trench warfare brand of football needs to be stopped. Imagine how ****e the game would be if everyone started playing the Mourinho way. It would be total ****e:biggrin:

Why do you continue spouting your bs here? If united was so keen to continue their 'attacking philosophy' then why hire moyes? He's even more defensive minded than mourinho, ffs. <doh>

Moyes has made many mistakes tactically, but I'm a true supporter I don't boo the manager. I support Man Utd as a whole, and David Moyes is one of us, so il always give him my support whilst he's here.

This job is a learning curve for him, and his tactics have started to improve lately. I trust him to makes us a great side again, he just needs the time to learn about how to use the players we have, and buy in the players we need. He's a good manager, and I'm convinced the long term will prove this

Again?? Another example of a chav who clearly doesn't watch football. Moyes Everton side were never gung-ho but they never parked the bus like a Mourinho side. Mourinho loves it, he loves spoiling the game for the neutrals with his anti football. The guy is a win at all costs type of manager. He doesn't care what it looks like, or what his players do, just aslong as they win. Mourinho has even had the opportunity financially to build a side that plays the game the right way, but he still persists with his solid, we will play for a 1-0 formation

The first paragraph of this post genuinely looks like somebody who's only ever watched one game of football before. Absolutely clueless.
