There are at least half a dozen of our current players I'd ditch in a heartbeat to have Jamie back. Mind you, if we got him back, I'd lay odds he'd do a hamstring within a fortnight.
I love Jamie to bits, will cheer him on and off the field tomorrow, I loved the passion and desire he exhibited in spades and know that no one tied harder than him, but I suspect that superthickerhoopser is actually correct.
Well if he's a failure and average its a failure and average Id accept failure any day of the week over the utter dross we've been served up this season. With Jamie you know you'll get 110% effort every game. He may not be the most skillfull but I cannot remember many other players (other than the likes of Bircham/Gallen) who had his level of commitment and passion for our club. Some people have very, very short memories. He was pivotal in getting us promoted and deserves the utmost respect. BRING HIM BACK AND SACK THE MUG WHO SOLD HIM
Did we not sell Jamie for one fifth of what we paid for BZ ? If so, what a catastrophically dreadful piece of business.

I cant believe that any Rangers fan who goes regularly could possibly make such negative comments about Mackie. Remember his 2 goals at Leicester, his winner at home to Liverpool, his goal away at Man City (I dont think any of our current squad would have the commitment to get onto Traore's cross at City) I witnessed all of them. Not good enough for the prem my arse.
We could all pick out highlights of any player. He scored 8 goals in his first 7 games for QPR and 10 goals in his next 78 games before he was sold.
He's better than all our wingers except Phillips. He's better than all our strikers except Austin. The fans loved him. He was the complete opposite of everything we hate about the wasters playing for us now and last season. There is absolutely no good argument for selling him when we did for the amount we did. Probably not quite good enough to play every week in the Prem, no, but undoubtedly good enough to play for this shower in this relatively dire division.
I definately have a premier league arse. Much bigger than a mere Championship arse. And it feels like Ive been in a coma since Redcrap arrived. In fact I think being in a coma is a must to watch his team and tactics.
