    Rooney wanted to leave MU. Perhaps Gerrard is as loyal as Rooney? Although, Gerrard has been only at Liverpool and has been at the club for far longer ... but similar <ok>

    Surely weighing up leaving and then staying shows loyalty rather than a lack of it.

    He's turned down Bayern and Madrid since Liverpool dropped out of the CL too.

    Fergie wanted him as well at one stage.

    Gerrard wanted to leave and the fans burnt his shirt in the streets. The local Liverpool mafia then stepped in and threatened his family if he left. This was confirmed by his father under oath in a subsequent court case.

    He is also an Everton fan. There are photos of him in 2 different Everton kits as a child. When he became a Liverpool player they made up a story about it being a joke by his uncle. This is total bs as no one would buy 2 kits for a joke. He's Everton to the core.
