Pardew has confirmed that we are only looking to sign two players this summer but will also try to replace any outgoings. As this article points out though the problem is will Remy and De Jong be counted as players leaving as they are only loanees? What about players who still need replacing such as Cabaye? What about Jonas does he count or as he has been out on loan this season will they decide he doesn't need replacing?

I think we all know that whoever we sign this summer we'll be left short of the ability to seriously challenge for top 6-7... The real question is will we be left short of the ability to finish mid-table.

This is why Pards will never be sacked. He is the only one brave enough (or stupid enough, or crooked enough depending how you choose to look at it), to stand up, be interviewed and roll out Mike's grand plan.

This summer is going to be another debacle. Honestly who would want the managers job here? Its a bag of ****.

Remy will be a big miss, DeJong won't be missed at all. A great player like Cabaye can't be replaced easily and although Jonas wasn't everybody's cup of tea he was a wholehearted player that always gave his all and I'd like to see him back among us, some of his work ethic might rub off onto some of the lazy bastards we've got.

Gus would probably be better suited! He has vast experience in it from curling them down on floors and managing a squad of it.

    More ****waffle from Comical Alan.
We all know that, as the window shuts we will be woefully short of bodies and basically be looking at a season long relegation scrap.

If we don't get in six or seven players we will go down...?

Probably the most defeatist post I've read on here in a while and that's saying something.

If you told me now we'd get Remy, Ba, Caulker (I like him but accept he's not a worldbeater, just a realistic purchase) and some French AM who is half decent I'd back us to finish top half. None of that will happen though.

Ashley wont be raking it in if we cant put XI fit players on the pitch and those that don't have ST's wont be turning up and paying at the gates.

That plus a lot of ST holders are already fed up may not even go themselves.

They certainly wont be renewing their ST's if changes aren't made.

We should all know by now that whatever is said in press conferences means **** all. In the past we have moaned at the club for letting everyone know we wanted to sign players and then being held to ransom. The problem these days is that there is absolutely no way to tell what is wishful thinking, what is truth and what is just politics to suit a bigger plan.

The bigger issue here has fck all to do with who we will or won't sign, what we'll spend, and so on - the real issue is that intelligent fans of this football club no longer give a sh!t what its' manager says, and frequently pass it off as utter garbage.

It doesn't matter anymore, is the problem. The association is that we'll be lied to, that it will be misleading and so Pardew may as well never do another press conference as long as he's here, because he's always contradicted or just not believed.

He's going to get the shock of his life tomorrow by all accounts. Most fans have now turned and don't listen to a word he says.

If we bring in only two players with this complete phallus leading us it will be a relegation battle - make no mistake about it mate. Who knows how many will leave and you know not all of them will be replaced or at least with quality (anything to save a few quid is Mike's philosophy).

Next season we will no doubt begin as unprepared as ever.

Pardew is probably thinking we've already got 5 new additions to our squad next season. Tavernier, Abeid, Vuckic, Good and Campbell, all returning from loan deals. If he thinks he only needs 2 more players then the man is a bigger muppet than I thought.

As long as one of the signings is a new manager I don't care.

To be fair I'm not sure he has much say in all this. When Mikes cock is rammed that far up your arse, then you'll be qualified to assess the reasoning <laugh>
