Shhhh, I was sneaking past! Anyone else laugh at this: Its not like we coulda knocked anyone out from a higher division ffs. Fair play to them for reaching the same stage as us obviously, but as a long time supporter of our club, I honestly think its a bigger achievement for us as we normally do so sodding badly! Nice to see the club shop busy, will be great to see our side of the stadium awash in black and amber and the masks can't do our stock with Brucie any hard either. Come on you Ulllllllll!
I was in the club shop today making conversation with the sales lady as I made a transaction. I spied the masks on the counter and said "Are they doing well then, the Brucie masks?" and she said "Yes, rather too well". Cue light chucking. "I find them rather disturbing" I continued. "It's not the faces that disturb me" she said, intriguingly. "It's all the eyes that end up at the bottom of the box when you're unpacking them. They just look up at you." "Oh" I said. "Bye". So they actually gouge Brucie's eyeballs out, and sometimes get a chill when hundreds of erroneous ones stare back at them from the bottom of a box. Like lost souls in purgatory. Remember that chilling image as you dance around Wembley like the wacky mental heads you are with an eyeless Bruce mask on. Spooky.
