http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Stay...FA-Cup-final/story-20947720-detail/story.html Assuming this is HDMs attempt at trying to push people to buy tickets for semi?
The woman who isnt going to the semi and then says the 'The FA needs a kick if they don't make enough tickets available to the clubs in the final' is frankly a buffoon.
Either way somebody is going to miss out. 27k at the semi, only 25k in the final so not even everyone at the semi would get a ticket
It's a bit late in the day now. I'm pretty sure this could have been foreseen earlier, and this message perhaps published more towards the beginning of the week, allowing people a greater chance to get one. There's a lot of people out there who don't read forums, don't ask around, don't fill in ballots and don't know what the **** is going on til the HDM tells them, so informing them now is possibly futile.
Totally agree. She seems to think she's entitled, without doing anything to earn the tickets. The fact she's unemployed, sorry, an 'actress' might have a lot to do with it. Get a proper job and earn your final ticket, like everyone else.
As someone has said on another thread, if it's one per season pass as first priority, then people who bought through the club for semis and are on the database already from two other games, then that would seem fair. Those who'd miss out would be people who relied on passholders to get them one for the semi via their second ticket, and those who -- like me -- have bought through Club Wembley. But I still think it would be a fair system. And it's all academic if we don't beat Sheffield U!
IMO you need to bite the bullet and go to both. It's not something that happens all the time and a few hundred quid (while it'll mean cutting back on a lot of things for some) will be worth it. Would you rather spend and go or stay at home and potentially miss the greatest day in your history?
I think there are a few too many people who are just expecting us to beat Sheff Utd so they dont have to bother coming to the semi final cos they can just come to the final instead and not really miss out on anything. Guarantee if we had drawn Arsenal in the semi final then we would have sold out our allocation straight away
Will I have a chance of a ticket. I am not a passholder but I went to 6th round and will be there on Sunday and will have ticket stubs to prove it. Unfortunately because I thought we would sell out for both games I took the offer of my mates pass to get tickets. Will proof be by ticket stub or will my mate get the tickets because he is the passholder.
I'll be there on Sunday, but not at the final if we get there as I'll be away, unless I can persuade the wife to let me come back early!
I don't understand the whole, expect us to win do wait for the final attitude. I do get the concept but the thought of going to wembley and watching us win again, with the atmosphere and just the occasion of it all. Who would want to miss that? I think we all know if we draw arsenal in the final we'll more then likely lose so they're just forking out more to watch us lose. Well, you never know with arsenal at the minute
No, you're going twice. I fully expect you to beat Sheffield United. Your greatest day potentially, meaning the day you can win the Cup. Is it worth missing because you would rather sit at home for the semi?
I cannot understand people missing the semi's with the hope of us getting to the final and then going. There are 4 of us going Sunday, 3 generations of the family who have all been going to watch City from being kids.
The whole thing is showing a small towmentality rather than a big city one. People thinking they should be able to get 4 tickets so they can take the family, someone wanting to have the same seat for the final if we get tnrough. The whole thingbabout giving priority to people at thevsemi-final is ludicrous. That would mean a wife who went because the passholder was entitled to twp tickets would have priority over a passholder who couldn't go to the semi ( note I say couldn't go not wouldn't) or a non passholder who has gone to a fair few league games and to the Brighton games and other cup games. Season pass holders are informed they will have priority forbcup games, as is the case with all clubs. Of course a lot of clubs have far more passholders than tickets. How do these fans who seem to expect a ticket just becausethey feel like going to a final and think their wife, girlfriend or someone else should get a ticket as well, think those clubs go on. Surely even Allam couldn't decide to renege on the promise pass holders get preference? One ticket per passholder still leaves 7,000 for general sale. We are luckier than clubs like Arsenal in that we can keep every passholderhappy.
