Was a late decision but it was a right one. Stupid that we were the only team playing on the Saturday with a game away to Stevenage the following Monday. 1 days rest between the games??? stupid fixture dates

Right decision but nine months too late! As Red Alert said above "up yours to the paying supporters".

****ing off fans who already think the club is inept is never the right decision. One day that idea of fans turning up to watch Hengrove Athletic in protest at how ****e City are might happen.

we still got our game on the saturday in a relegation battle vs portsmouth then monday face top of the table rochdale. so the teams around us at the bottom get 2 days rest but we get just 1 day rest. hardly fair! will be much worse if we lose against bottom side torquay this weekend! :(

I've supported the board many times on this forum, but I'm gobsmacked by the crass way this has been announced by the club. Not a word of apology or explanation of why the decision was made just one week before the game.

Shiny hit the nail on the head - the right decision but 9 months too late.

Personally I've re-jigged a few arrangements so not a huge deal for me, but there will be people who can't - also there must be some County fans who have booked accommodation for a weekend in Bristol?

This is the short message on our website:

It would appear from the club's statement that the date of this game was not changed last summer by SOD! What an idiot this bloke is.

Well at least an explanation and an apology has now come - I'm still amazed that someone would put an announcement on our official website without any thought of the fallout
Perhaps they need to start thinking of us as CUSTOMERS rather than SUPPORTERS?

Of course it was a previous Coaches fault .. Always somebody elses fault.

Meanwhile fans in the Eastend have been trying to organise a display for one of the clubs last games with the Eastend existing. Fans have been attempting to arrange this month on month. Fans have failed because the club is too busy. The club have been too busy for months. There will be no special send off for the Eastend - Too busy.

BCFC have lost complete sight of what a club is, and who they represent.

    A long long time ago

Most teams at Prem and top Champ level no longer need real supporters as has been admitted by several clubs, due to the many other very lucrative revenue streams and sponsorship they have, but at our lowly level it's pathetic to ignore us the long suffering people who do help pay the overpaid players wages
