His opinion is clearly an Italian one, where Cellino seems to get more negative press than anything else, so I can understand his point a bit after the Ridsdale/Bates/GFH fcuk ups ... for me the key thing is buying back Elland Road, and Cellino is committed to making that happen ... the other thing we need to add in is the massive support, if we get it right ER will be full, and that will mean lots of extra revenue coming in to help fund the team, a very different scenario to Cagliari ... with Cellino having the financial clout to keep the club debt free, we will finally be in a position to plough our revenues into the team, and our revenues will be of the highest in the Championship (and the Prem when we get there) considering our support base and one club city potential ... entertaining times ahead Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Correct Browneh ... except I believe Cellino is going to go full on to get us to the Prem as quickly as possible, and he has the money to do it without risking the club ... can't wait for the transformation Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
You summed it up mate, if our revenue goes towards the playing staff rather than paying for pointless **** like the east stand and David Haighs wages then we can get a miles better squad than we currently even if they are all freebies. the guy is yet to put his foot wrong, as long as he delivers on his promises then he will do fine by the fans. GFH didn't deliver on their promises even on the little stuff like fan interaction.
I expect to her varying views on Cellino. I will judge him on what he does at Leeds. So far early days, super job done

well im a full blooded italian and a life long leeds fan and i have a nephew who knows bucket loads about italian football and he tells me cellini is a 100 % football man with a lot of money and sees leeds as an opportunity to buy a big english club and take it to the very top in italy he has built stadiums and bank rolled teams, without him we would be in administration and in leauge one, this is the best news for years and years this so called italian businessman is talking through his arse, for **** sake lets enjoy something good for a change insread of the constant negativity of recent years.
But he can get pissed off with the fans too. The Part Two YEP interview, he stated that at one point he stopped doing season tickets because of the fans. No idea what they had done to him. Hope it never gets to that.
Bang on. First time in ten years, apart from promotion from league 1, that some good stuff has been happening. Well be heading into a summer transfer window signing far superior quality players, some foreign, than we've done in last decade. Only players leaving will be crap we want rid of
I've said this for years anyway, I don't consider that success and while their are few clubs that have managed to achieve global success on a budget in the modern day, I'd prefer if the club built properly and slowly progressed into a force to be reckoned. I don't think Cellino will do this, I also don't think Cellino will splash money at us. In all honesty I don't think he is right man because of how he has acted at Cagliari, I'm hoping to be proved wrong but I see it as doubtful. I'm all for an open mind on him though and judging him purely on what he does in Leeds colours now it has gone through.
Spot on. I learnt under Bates and continued under GFH to judge on actions not words Plenty to be concerned about in Cellino but will judge on what he actually does I am hopeful but that's all ATM, no love-ins from me
I don't believe you will ever see a team outside of Man C, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool win the title in the next 50 years unless they spend silly amounts. Not arguing if it is right wrong or good or bad for football, it is just the way it has become, join them or watch from behind for the minor places. I believe Cellino will fund us well, not to the extent of major contention but enough to mount a promotion challenge and be a mid table PL team under the right manager
Firstly ... so-called Italian businessman, how naive are you to think I would actually put the man's name on here? He is a regular visitor to ER, runs a highly successful business in Oxfordshire, and I certainly wouldn't want to open him up to abuse from morons on public forums, get real!! Secondly, on Haigh, I am not sorry to see him leave, as with McD I just abhor unsubstantiated filth being chucked at people "just because", for the most part I try and engage in football related discussions, but it seems there are people who just prefer to whine and whine ... thirdly, the point of the article was to put forward a view of someone who doesn't contribute here, a view I was quite frankly surprised about, because I for one am sick of all the crap at Leeds and welcome Cellino, but purely because he is loaded and hopefully he will rebuild our club, it's much needed ... finally, imagine season after season in the Prem playing for nothing, hoping to win 12 games so we can stay up, getting battered at home by the likes of fcuking Chelsea and Scum, focusing on **** clubs like Swansea and Stoke for much needed wins ... oh joy!!
And yet you start a thread about an opinion of someone who lives in Oxfordshire which is doing just what you abhor. Why not wait and see.
Thick? No really, are you thick? I said I was offering a different opinion to mine and the majority on here who welcome Cellino, oh and his words contained no unsubstantiated filth ... he may be right and we may all be wrong!! Time will tell, and I pray Cellino works out for us and goes down in history as the chairman who guided us to a Premier League title ... it is getting boring now when people dig away simply because someone has a different opinion ... this board is becoming very, very silly when people get defensive because an opinion is offered that doesn't reflect theirs ... yaaaawwnnn
