His displays, goals and assists this season have been magnificent and hes obviously made an effort to "clean up" his act.

Suarez is nailed on as the winner according the bookies but could he be pipped at the post and will his previous "crimes" be forgiven by his fellow pro's?

Suarez has really been in a league of his own this season,there is only one genuine candidate.

One or two others have impressed (Hazard,Yaya) but Luis has been sensational all season.

I look at it that its a barometer of a decent season that has the potential to be a ****ing fantastic season if one of our players wins it.

I expect the short list will be hazard yaya and Suarez

However I expect a LOT of players are not like Roberts or evra or Williams, not many actually give a stuff about anything and when asked the question will vote best player.

Writers? I think I expect yaya to walk it frankly but they'll make out it was so close. I even kind of think this weekend match should decide it in their minds. If lfC win.... Well it'd be very hard to justify not giving it to suarez
