I asked a businessman (Italian who supports Leeds) on LinkedIn what he thought of Cellino buying Leeds, here's his response: "Absolutely disastrous news, he is not a good man, invests very little into his team, sacks managers every other week and just not the right person for us. We need stability as a club and whilst he may have lots of money personally his history is all about doing things on the cheap and we need more than that at the moment. The club has been through enough and you would have thought they could have found someone who really wants to take the club forward in a positive way with the funds to make that happen - there are plenty of them out there. The last lot of owners promised so much but look at what they really put into the club - diddly squat! Still scratching my head as to why they even bought us as within a few months of getting us they were out there looking for someone else to put money into the club instead of putting their hands into their pockets and building something worth being proud off. Sorry just totally frustrated by the idiots who run one of the most potential clubs in the UK." I was really surprised, only expected a one liner back, but got this instead. I thought he would be pleased, especially considering the state we were in with GFH. Hmmmmm Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Anyone can have a view, whether good or bad. What is relevant to me is that Cellino says he will get rid of the debts (he has already been paying them), he says he will buy ER and TA so we have assets, he says he will get rid of Haigh and GFH. Once that has been done, he will have spent an absolute fortune already just to get to ground zero. Don't you think it is then time for the club, on a stable footing, to produce the income to go forward? We know the club can do it if you don't spend shedloads on rent, radio, and over-priced, over-sensitive, over-the-hill hasbeens. Yep, this could come back to bite me, but I don't want us to be like Chelsea or Man City (and Cellino certainly isn't in their league), I just want us to have a good chance to show what we can do without throwing daft money at it. Because we saw what happens when you do that under Ridsdale, and we have still not recovered since then. All the above is merely my opinion, none of it is fact, nor stated as such, it is merely what I think is a good way forward
Send steve the cleaning bill mate don't hold your breath though Mighty, I'm still waiting for my pint he wasted
Just because he's Italian doesn't mean he knows fook all about Cellino. My Mums 1/4 Italian from the same Island and she thinks he's wonderful.
Finally the penny drops, we've been telling you this for weeks but did you listen, did you eck as like? We said the same with coco & GFH.
While we were taking the piss out of them for moaning about Rooney's wonder goal at westhamabad being played over and over again! Couldn't see anything wrong with the goal personally?
Keeping a team in Serie A with only 5k fans a week doesn't sound like someone who is not investing shed loads
