This game I can imagine not being pretty we have to win this no questions asked especially with Rochdale and Portsmouth coming up over Easter for me I think we will just shade it 2-1 Mohamed and JJOT on the score sheet for us.

Despite my many misgivings, I just have to go for a Gas win. Anything else would be a nightmarish travesty that would really plunge us into the mire.

1-0 (Clarke - drive from outside the box on 72 mins)

Torquay United manager Chris Hargreaves has insisted his side can still stay up despite being 10 points adrift of safety with five games remaining.

The Gulls are bottom of League Two with just two wins from their last 13 games.

Speaking after Saturday's 1-0 defeat by title-chasing S****horpe, Hargreaves told BBC Radio Devon: "Of course we can get out of this - five wins.

"I'll keep fighting, the players will keep fighting and we know that the fans are behind us."

Torquay will draw hope from the fact that three of their remaining five matches come against sides also currently in the bottom five.

However, Hargreaves' side could be relegated as early as this weekend if they lose away to 21st-placed Bristol Rovers and other results go against them.

Torquay have the worst goal difference in the division (minus 24) and have conceded the joint-highest number of goals (59).

The club have been in League Two since securing promotion in May 2009, when Hargreaves himself, then club captain, scored in a 2-0 victory over Cambridge United in the Conference Premier play-off final at Wembley.

The former Oxford, Hereford and Plymouth midfielder was appointed Gulls manager in January after previously working as a coach at Bournemouth.

Since Hargreaves' appointment, Torquay have won 25% of their games, but Saturday's loss was the team's fourth consecutive defeat.

"The players were excellent in the first half against S****horpe," Hargreaves added.

"They've got to reproduce that again.

"[We need] the same tempo and the same performance. I was really pleased to see it.

"For the whole game, I thought we were the dominant team, but sometimes you don't get

    Previous home games against Torquay:

March 2004 - Rovers 2-2 Torquay - On this occasion, it was Rovers fighting to avoid being dragged into the relegation mire and Torquay aiming for promotion. The first 20 minutes or so went to form, as the Gulls opened up a two-goal lead thanks to Jo Kuffour, firstly from a close range volley from a cross, and then a deflected shot past the helpless Kevin Miller. But Rovers produced a rare comeback, with Paul Tait sliding the ball underneath the onrushing Kevin Dearden before Sonny Parker's brilliant header - his only ever goal - salvaged a point.

December 2005 - Rovers 0-1 Torquay - Despite huffing and puffing in this one and generally having most of the play, the strugglers took victory when Morike Sakho's powerful shot found the top corner.

January 2007 - Rovers 1-0 Torquay - In pouring rain which nearly forced the game to be postponed, Rovers dominated this one without making the breakthrough until the final few minutes when Andy Sandell scored with a left-footed shot into an empty net from close range. Before that it had looked like it was going to be a frustrating afternoon with Stuart Nicholson in particular missing several opportunities against inferior opponents.

August 2011 - Rovers 1-2 Torquay - Paul Buckle's first home game in charge and some of the defending from Rovers was woeful as Torquay went 2-0 up in the first half. Taiwo Atieno got in behind the Rovers defence for the first, with Rene Howe confidently netting the second from the penalty spot. Byron Anthony pulled one back with a second half header, and despite late pressure, the visitors held on.

October 2012 - Rovers 3-2 Torquay - A win which we made a lot harder than it should have been. Torquay were wretched in the first half and we took full advantage, going 2-0 up thanks to Tom Eaves' lob and Matt Lund's excellent 20-yard free-kick. To make matters worse for Torquay, Joe Oastler was sent off for two yellow cards, but somehow they found themselves level by the midway point of the second half. Two former Rovers loanees were responsible for that, with Rene Howe curling a shot past Neil Etheridge, and then Aaron Downes heading home from a free-kick. Thankfully, Tom Eaves was in the right place to grab the winner, turning the ball home from Wayne Brown's cut-back.

i have a bad feeling about this. i cant remember the last time we beat a team at the bottom of the league! torquay will win this. they will frustrate us and aim to get our fans to turn on our own team. they will go on to win by 2 clear goals.

I don't think that will happen (well at least I hope not!). Generally we have a good defence, and Torquay hardly have any firepower. Allowing Rene Howe and Ryan Jarvis to go at the end of last season has killed them as an attacking force.

Bristol Rovers are set to include Fabian Broghammer in their squad for the first time this season.

The German midfielder has not played since 27 April 2013 after suffering a serious knee injury but he is now ready to return to action.

Fit-again loanee defender Baily Cargill could make his Torquay debut but his team-mate at parent-club Bournemouth, Jayden Stockley, is suspended.

However, Shamir Goodwin is available after completing his three-match ban.

Torquay manager Chris Hargreaves told BBC Radio Devon: "It's a great game to play in. I used to like playing against the Bristol clubs as a player.

"It's very tense for Bristol Rovers. They're obviously in a sticky situation themselves. They'll feel a bit of pressure this weekend.

"Fans can obviously get on their backs at the home ground so we need to play on that."
