As the WhoScored site are looking at 6 nominations I'll put those 6 up

For me Suarez (biased aside). He is a machine, when he isnt scoring he is assisting and dragging defenders about everywhere thus creating space for the rest of our attackers. Some of the things he does is sublime and he is always willing the team on. He also stays on his feet now which is good to see.

You can totally see his love for the game and will to win and he is great for the Premiership and more importantly, us!

Gerrard has also been very influential for us so far as well

If you guys win the Prem, I would vote for Suarez for Premierleague player of the year.

But if City won it, I'd consider Ya Ya

Up until Christmas I had Ramsey just a whisker in front of Suarez.

Suarez wins this hands down for me, unless he bites somebody again.

Ive seen a few posts saying we have to win the league for him to be POTY, I strongly disagree

You can be the best player of the season without your team being champions

Gotta be Suarez. Maybe had Ramsey stayed fit he might have challenged him but it wasn't to be. Anyone who disagrees about Suarez is lying to themselves.

Agree but being a winner rather than a loser helps. Especially scoring big goals in big games.

That's why RVP deserved it over Racist last season.

Suarez is in good enough form to get the flat-track bully monicker off his back. You would expect him to score v City/and or Chelsea this month.

Especially with all the time off he gets during the weeK <whistle>

What a difference 10 months make, in August you wanted Suarez out the club. No player bigger than LFC. But you begged him to stay.
Now Suarez IS bigger than the club

Explain how Suarez is bigger than the club please <ok>

    That's just utter nonsense.

Yeah the opinion was split and some wanted him out - but him staying has paid dividends. He's matured so much this season, a complete turn around, which Rodgers also deserves a lot of credit for.

Have to agree with what's already been said, early in the season I had Ramsey as my player of the season but since he got injured Suarez has been hands down the best player in the league this season.

Suarez is the easy, lets not think about it and just vote ( how governments get in ) choice. Hes scoring and creating.

Sturridge though is scoring, creating and doing it week after week regardless of the opposition. When Suarez was on the naughty step Sturridge carried the side.

10 months ago I rated him below Welbeck and Hernandez but over the season hes proved himself time and time again. Hes young, hes english and he doesnt have the baggage that Suarez has. Deserves it more than any other imo.

That is true. Even though he humiliated your club trying to get away and going on strike, he proved he was bigger than LFC. Even after all his shenanigans the club and fans begged him to stay and offered him a new contract.

Suarez is LFC now. In terms of footballing ability and football ethics.

In ant other industry, a player convicted of racist abuse and GBH, would be fired.
Instead he engineers a move and the club still offer him a new contract.

It has worked out brilliantly for both parties: but the tail wagged the dog, and is an example of where the player is bigger than the franchise

Maybe he had the whip hand because LFC were so desperate to keep their star man,
But it would not happen at Chelsea, Real, Barca, Bayern. We have more class than that
