Afternoon all from a bright & sunny West West London. Scuttling out of Corporate Madness early today as I am going to see the wonderful Chrissie Hynde at The Horn in St.Albans tonight - will be interesting to see an artist of that fame gigging in a little pub venue like The Horn!

On the BBC website, in their 100 great World Cup Moments, today it is Gerry Armstrong's goal for N. Ireland against Spain in 1982 - he was, of course, a Watford player at the time and in another few weeks was to score against Everton in our first ever First Division game.

Tomorrow it's Friday, will today be the last day of my employment?

OK I know the suspense is killing you so the answer is no, but tomorrow, my last contracted day with my employer, was booked as Annual Leave long ago.

I have been treated royally today by my work colleagues with cards, balloons, banners, presents, home baked cakes, treated to lunch and afternoon cheese cake. There are a few things I will miss about work.

    So at 5pm it's <party> <bubbly>

Thanks for all your good wishes!

Morning all from a bright & sunny bandit country - hanging rather a lot this morning after an excess of Doombar and Perroni. Chrissie was very good and a cracker at 62!

OFH - I noticed you had an interesting 'each way bet' on one of your predictions this week - there is still time to edit I guess if you see this reminder :)
