Making what up? My opinion? That's what you do with opinions isn't it? Form them & then develop them as you go along. You should try it sometime, free yourself from AA's strings & try thinking for yourself. Thanks for enhancing the evidence of my last point.
Despite our fans being pilloried by casual onlookers who haven't got the mental capacity to read anything more in-depth than the sensationalist ****e provided by the likes of The Daily Mail, I'm actually very proud of the fact that only 2,500 or so of our supporters were frightened enough or stupid enough to vote in favour of our ****ing deluded, know-nothing owner, and that there are only a handful of those spineless and dim twatbaskets posting on here.
That's good, I wouldn't put it past him to change the colours for next season to stick 2 fingers up to the FA and the No voters. "You might have stopped me changing the name, but you can't stop me doing this can you?" They haven't, the company name has already been changed. It would depend on the timing. If it were before the end of this season then one less team would be relegated from each division. If it were after the fixtures had come out then the PL would play one team short next season and then one team less would be relegated. It's not a restraint of trade. As a member of the FA the club has signed up to follow the terms of membership. One of those terms gives the FA total discretion over name changes for the teams, and the only legal grounds to appeal those decisions are where they are commercially unreasonable (the Socimer test). For various reasons, even if it were commercially unreasonable for them to reject the change, the club wouldn't benefit from any change as it would be commercially reasonable as a members club for the FA to insist that in order to allow the change no other club must be commercially disadvantaged by it, and if they are that we would have to provide compensation to that amount. Of course the lack of a legal case is pretty irrelevent when another condition of taking part in FA authorised competitions is that you can't take them to courts outside of the CAS, and the CAS only has to ensure the FA has acted within it's own rules. The FA having "absolute discretion" in their rules means that they have, and there is no need for any justification for their decision what so ever. Except that was the Football League not the FA.
Thanks for that it turned on a light bulb in my head, along with other stuff. Given that getting millions in from the surrounding area Hull City wouldn't have generated enough income from the sports village. The only way he'd have got his money back was to sell the club with the freehold. If he got the freehold for nought he'd have made more profit leaving the new owner to finish the development or not. Interesting thought, I wonder if he had a buyer lined up.
Obi, when you buy a council house under the right to buy scheme, the only time there is a big profit is when its sold for the first time. Same thing applies. Buy cheap, develop, sell to long term investors like pension funds. A one off profit.
Yes, I see. You don't really need to develop though, just get the planning permission and sell. The jewel in the crown was always going to be the football club.
The vast majority of the CTWD committee, would like nothing more than to never attend another CTWD committee meeting.
Some of us gave him the benefit of the doubt after saving the club though. It wouldn't surprise me that another reason for the name change is he thinks he'll sell the club for a higher price then he'd get if he sold it as Hull City.
"If it had been the other way round, if the FA had approved it but the fans had said no, I would have severed my ties with the club immediately," Allam, who took charge of the club in in December 2010, told BBC Sport. "But the results mean I owe it to the silent majority to appeal and to fight on Jesus ****ing wept, he's mental.
How can anyone defend this man? He invents a poll to ensure he can get a certain result, then says he's using the results he got to shape his future policy EDIT: Forgot to add; he's a devious lying little **** and needs to **** off out of my club.
We support hull city daft ****. Or when someone asks you what team you support do you answer 'the fa cup'?
I said about this earlier in the week. The bloke is a deluded old fool and his pig headedness is going to make the whole farce continue. He just likes to keep digging himself into a deeper hole. Someone really needs to have a word with him as the vast majority of supporters would just prefer this nonsense to end.
When we win the FA Cup won't it be a bigger benefit to keep the name. Hull City FA cup winners 2014 sounds better than Hull Tigers who used to be Hull City who won the cup in 2014.
