Hi Guys – thought I’d give you the view of a City Fan…got my ticket for Sun and looking forward to it, don’t think I’ve been as nervous about a game since the Gillingham Play-off match in ’99!!

All set up to be a fantastic game think both sets of fans will be in good voice and one of the best grounds in football to host this match.

As for the result I’m going with a 2-2 draw, think it will come down to the last 10 mins and who wants to win the match the most – we will be happy with a draw against a team flying and at a ground we have a poor record at.

I’ve got a feeling we will be going with this side (a few mumblings from a few in the know sort of speak!):-

    Hart

    Zabaleta Kompany Lescott Clichy

    Fernandinho Yaya

    Navas Milner

    Silva

    Aguero

Anyway lets hope the game passes trouble free, which is usually the case between both sets of fans and lets show the world how the big matches are played!

Will Aguero be fit to start? Yaya had a little knock too, but guess he is fine.
Can you start with Dimichelis please.

i thik either one you use is not ideal to mark sturridge, he's the one with pace. i would rather dimichellis but the main issue at hand is which midfield dominates so frankly if you stick in milners its to work on just suffocating the area. i think thats the winning and losing of it.... however.... aguero? any way fit at all?

I've got a cold (true story)- do you know where Aguero lives so I can go and sneeze on him?

    Lives on Collarhouse Drive Prestbury
A scouser would be arrested on suspicion of ne'erdowellishness as a point of principle in Prestbury though if you're not colleen or her oxygen thieving hubby

i think kompany is decent to deal with it, i mean lets face it ts easy for skertl to deal with most prem forwards this year as most are target men. but put an aguero style pace on the shoulder and we don' look good. I think lescott would struggle with suarez pace let alone sturridge. but we will see..

if we can force city deep it will be hard for them to press on our players. it'll be an interesting set of nuances

  13. Kompany is the best CB in the league but he won't ever mark Studge out of a game. A team would have to apply a man-marker on our Danny for the entire match for that to happen. Kompany won't leave the back line to pick him up and Danny won't stay on the defenders shoulder either, he drops deep and wide to get the ball. Hence me saying "Name my one defender that is"

Feeling odd about this one. Can see it going one of two ways: us putting in a dominant performance and coming away with a fairly easy win, or us getting bossed in midfield and losing to a dodgy goal. Either way, excited for it!

What I mean is when sturridge does play off the shoulder then kompany might cope compared to say vidic for example, you are quite right that as sturridge and Suarez drop off nobody is going to go with. What I'm saying is lescott and dimichillis won't cope with the pace and will drop too deep. It's ip to midfield to negative the space we drop off into. I think Suarez getting behind is more about sendibleness and standing up not pace so again dimichellis is a target

Yuppers... completely unpredictable game. The only team guareenteed to profit out of Liverpool Vs City is Chelsea. Either way, one or the other of their rivals drop points.

  17. Fair enough. Kompany dealt with them pretty well last time we met so I guess it comes down to who partners him and how we target that person.

indeed.... i think the ref is key... has he given all his pens to us already or can suarez use his dastardly powers to flick a ball against dimichellis and get one or 5.... kompany can't be on both sides of the pitch as once so it'll be interesting

Yaya is the weakness for me, in attack he's brilliant but when the ball is lost he tracks back very slowly, that's where Liverpool are best at, attacking with pace.

When I say he's a weakness I mean defensively, obviously he's world class haha.

You can't be world class with such a gaping flaw in your game. This is my main beef with Yaya and why I get annoyed with all the love in for him. He's brilliant attacking, yes, no question, but ****ing useless defensively. For me, a world class midfielder should have such a huge weakness in their game. Great player going forward, deadweight otherwise.

I hope he plays (almost certain, unless for injury) because I feel Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho will have a field day if they drop back to pick up the ball from deep with only Fernandinho covering.
