I think and ,obviously, hope he will stay. However if he goes to a rich club then we must hold out for quality players, **** hot youngsters and a big lump of cash. All these teams can afford it. I'm seriously talking, lukaku, **** hot 18 yr old (Chelsea have 20+) and 10/15 million. Or Milner and the Klingon, **** hot kid, 10 mil...... I think we must be the most attractive club for England players at the fringes of their clubs. Hodgson is always at our games, so why not Wellbeck if he goes to united?
Don't think he is quite ready for Champions league football etc so Manchester United would be the better option. Personally don't see him leaving. He has 4 years left on his contract, is happy and we don't need the money. Hofsetter & Reed have both said in recent interviews that you don't sell your best players if you want to improve
I agree. There's the same building requirement at United so he might as well stay here. If he's going anywhere it'll be Chelsea, But nobody is going anywhere. Even Dani Osvaldo.
Supposing we do lose Shaw, how good is Targett, and do we have any other cover for left back since Fox left?
The fact that MP played Fox when Shaw was out shows how much he hates playing people out of position.
He's more than worthy to step into the left back position for a year or two. This won't happen though.
Martin Keown said that, when watching Shaw playing against his son in a match, at 16, it became the world's worst secret in football that he was going to be a great LB. We need him to go and cast an eye over Targett, and then keep it an open secret. Incidentally, on the day he came out with his Shaw comment, he said that Chambers had played better than Shaw in the previous Saints match. Not saying that Keown is the be-all-and-end-all of punditry, but he was a great defender, and he isn't known for his outlandish comments.
Piece about Turnbull on OS. Jaidi said he has performed well at CB, stepping up when Stephens left on loan. He has been taking part in First Team training which has helped him a lot.
Since when have Chelsea signed players because they 'need' them? If Chelsea come in, Luke will go. If not, I think he'll stay.
When asked about the difficulty of signing players without CL football, Moyes said that players have still agreed to come to Man Utd. Has me worried as we know there is only one player in the whole world...Luke Shaw. P.s. I do not believe Luke is moving this season.
Expect Hooiveld or Yoshida or maybe both to go in the summer and Turnbull to be promoted to 1st team squad. Seems strange to post this article otherwise
