United will definitely not be playing in Europe's elite competition next year, and there's a good chance we won't either.

That will be big, 2 of some of the biggest teams in England not in the Champions League.

To be honest, we have a very good chance of playing Champions league football next season. It would take an extraordinary effort from Everton and a poor effort from us to not do it. We may be playing some poor stuff recently, but I'm sure we can cobble some results together against some not so good teams in the league. But should we freakishly not make it, then you really have to question the players and their motives if they can't get 4th with our remaining fixtures. You can excuse the odd loss as being an exception, but not all our fixtures.

Seriously, these fixtures are not very difficult for a team as good as ours...

    Away v Hull
    Home v Newcastle
    Home v West Brom
    Away v Norwich

and 1 of the biggest back in the Champions League :smiley-finger007:

But tbh you'd have to perform even worse (is that possible?) for you to drop out of the top 4 I feel. Everton will drop points

Everton have to play United and go to Southampton so not easy games there. It's still all to play for.

People seem a bit confident Utd and Southampton will take points off Everton... I'd expect them to get 6 points from those 2 games.

City might depending on what happens at the weekend

As much as we rip into United, they still have the players to hurt Everton. Also, they looked pretty decent and held off a very strong Bayern team. Also Southampton are a good side and will be hard to beat at home. Only a few teams have beaten them at home.

No doubt we can still make it, but I'm just saying if we don't, that it's a pretty big deal that Both United and Arsenal won't be in the UCL next year.

big deal to who? Only you guys. No one else will care. We won it in 2005, and a final in 2007 and then came the wilderness period. The competition didn't crumble, and why would it. It's not exactly as though you and United regularly make the semis or the final

One big team being out of Europe isn't AS A BIG DEAL when 2 major teams are. And I'm also looking at from the perspective of how United-Arsenal were the main top 2 teams a while back, now both have the potential to be out of Europe, nobody would've really seen that coming.

But man you Liverpool fans have some big f**king mouths all of a sudden, which is going to make me really really really enjoy it when you go back to being **** again, and you can mark, and save this quote, and wait till it happens. You f**kers are on borrowed time, that's all, once Suarez is done-leaves, it's back to the wilderness again.

People may not like Kyle, but the man is SPOT ON about Liverpool fans, this isn't even a thread about them, and look at this ****. They're like Spurs fans, start doing good and it's like they think they're God's gift to football.

  15. Don't worry, one of Europe's biggest teams will be back in it next season too :)

Edit: Just seen Red beat me to it...

  16. Have a go at Liverpool fans all you want but Red is right, it only matters to Arsenal and Man Utd fans. No one cared when we dropped out and why should they? Same goes for A.Madrid, Juventus, Milan, etc No one cared then either (and that was two big Italian sides so very similar to what your saying)

I'm still confident we will get top 4. Everton have the harder fixtures than us, with city and utd plus a few other potentially difficult fixtures.

Our fixtures are fairly straight forward and need the team to do what they did earlier in the season and deal with lower opposition.

Whilst it's not a forgone conclusion I do still expect to see arsenal in the cl next season.

It looks extremely likely that neither Milan club will be in the CL next season and AC are miles off even reaching the Europa.
That's two sides that have won the thing 10 times between them.

Arsenal are still favourites to take 4th place, in my opinion. Everton would have to put together a very good run in their remaining games, though they are playing well.

  19. You certainly have the better fixtures left and you should win all five. I can't see Everton winning all six (although they will obviously have my complete backing against Man City <laugh>). It will be close and I'd prefer Everton to get it but I think you guys will take it.
