Not a big ask as far as I'm concerned, they are more than capable of winning the CL. They may not have the best idividuals, but they are the best team left in the competition. They are the best coached, and most well organised side in Europe, and that's why they are top of La Liga and we're able to knock out Barca. They for me should be the favourites, and id fancy them against any of the other 3 sides over 2 legs:biggrin:

IF we throw money at it, then yeh I'm confident we can (maybe not Kroos, I think he's using us to get a better deal). Why were top players attracted to City without CL footy a few years ago? IF we have the money, we should be able to do the same. Reality is CL teams will have the upper hand, but they also can't buy up everyone, City and other "new rich clubs" showed that u can still get the top players. City managed to attract quality players like Yaya, Kompany, Tevez, Silva, Robinho without CL footy.

BUT if we don't have the money being reported, we're a little fcked...and massively fcked if we don't get top 4 next season.

  4. Man City got there by throwing obscene amounts of wages at them, I know you've already done it with Rooney but surely you don't want to see Man Utd follow that blueprint?

Yeh you're right there. Maybe City had to pay those wages bcos they had further to climb in terms of reputation. Or maybe I'm looking at it through rose tinted glasses. But I think we're such a big club, with great success - surely one season out of the CL shouldn't fck us just yet.

Barca did finish 7th when they signed Ronaldhino <whistle>

That was a blessing in disguise as it turned out, as we used the money instead to buy Ronaldo, a player with twice the talent of Ronaldinho. We also got 80 million for him when he left, yet Barca had to practically give an old over the hill Ronaldinho away:biggrin:

Shocking bus parking by United last night, should be the end of your relentless digs at Jose at least.

I happily admit when we bus park, and in some games it has to be done. That is not our normal style of play though, where as Mourinho does it every game. The only time he has a go is late on if you need a goal

You as a ******ed scouser won't think that if he INDEED sneaked into 4th. Very unlikely though and it will need too many things to occur to too many teams at the same time. If he had a good fight for 5th, I think he'll be given a chance until the end of the year.

It's bus parking or 3076 crosses into the box from what I've seen of you lately.

If we can beat Arsenal and Spurs 10 - 0 combined over 2 game with the bus parked, wonder what we'd do with the hand brake off!! You do specialise in nonsense don't you?!

We once beat Arsenal 8-2 with a midfield of Cleverley and Anderson. We also once beat then in the FA cup with 2 fullbacks in midfield....

What I am trying to say is beating Arsenal is par for the course. Its a piece of piss.

  17. Fair play to him if he managed to sneak fourth but realistically, is that going to happen? Can you hand on heart say you think Man Utd will win all their remaining five games? Never mind needing Everton and Arsenal to lose three games too!
