Look on the positive side. There's still the League and the FA Cup. :)

The funny thing is, that ball wasn't meant for Evra.

we got tired. I usually slate Evra, but you could tell he was shattered as the game went on. No cover as we went to attack.

Ah well, **** happens. Not too upset, was expected.

Most of all, I really really hope this has been a learning curve for Moyes and HE more than anyone takes something from this run in the CL.

I reckon so. We played the European Champions and we didn't get embarrassed. In the league I think he's beginning to get things right (even if RVP's injury has helped to fluke that). He'll be given until at least Christmas if not longer.

    Do you think not???

  9. Hope A.Madrid go on to win it now. Rather them than Chelsea, Bayern or Madrid. Certainly don't want Chelsea or Bayern too since both their managers have already won two CL's and Paisley is the only one with three to his name <laugh>

  10. The run in the CL may save him, plus you have somehow managed to sneak back into the fight for fourth too. Despite only being five games left, I think he needs a good finish to the league. As a Liverpool fan, I'd be happy for him to stay in place but I don't think he will.

A lot of your support(on here included)are not sure he's the right man to spend the reported massive war chest because should he be sacked next Christmas there'll be no funds for his successor.

If he's going it'll be in may imo.

Yeh I wouldn't mind Atletico, but to be honest I'd like a Real vs Bayern final and then Real to win. Don't want Chelsea or Bayern to win it either.

No chance we'll get 4th mate, but I would love a decent run to the end of the season. Finish on a high and get some decent players in. Hope someone is speaking to Kroos in the dressing room right now <laugh>

I was fairly pleased with how the game went tbh. I think allowing them to equalise so soon has cost us though, we were still celebrating and weren't fully switched on. That goal gave Bayern a huge psychological boost. If only we could have kept our lead for a little longer, we may just have been able to pull off a suprise.

Rooney's performance was fairly embarrassing. Had a few decent chances, and looked like Torres infront of goal. Why exactly are we paying this clown 300k a week? World Class players deliver in the big games, Rooney far to often is a passenger:biggrin:

Missed this. Yeh I get that, I've heard a few (including United fans) say this, but there's nothing (other than a panic buy for Fellaini) to suggest he's a risk spending that money. Since taking over at United, look at the players he's been rumoured to buy - Baines, Fabregas, Thiago, Bale, Coentrao, Ander Herrera in the summer. Then obv the Mata buy, but he went to Portugal to look at a midfielder from Porto, and Italy and talked about Vidal, Marchisio as well as interest in Kroos in January.

I accept a couple of those (like Fabregas) were unrealistic, but he's hardly targetting dross? If that's the players he's going in for, even if he gets sacked, any successor worth their salt should be able to take over and succeed with quality like that.

I'd add, that if he buy ****e I'll be the first to lose the plot. I'm sure most United fans would, so that in itself is his first test.

Ancelotti has won 2 CL's too. Paisleys record will be equaled unless Athletico win it. big ask mind!!

  18. In order of preference: A.Madrid > Real > Bayern > Chelsea

I would have put Chelsea ahead of Bayern but I really don't like Mourinho.

I agree you have no chance of fourth, just meant you're sneaking back in so come the end of the season the table could look like you challenge. In the Glazer's eyes, that could save Moyes.

Do you think you'll be able to attract players like Kroos without CL football? Obviously, you are still a big club but if someone else is interesting that can offer CL immediately would he not go there instead? Its something we've had to deal with. Europa League would help.

  20. I think the Mata purchase had a degree of panic about it too. He's a quality number ten, one of the best around, but Moyes has no intention of playing him there, he's using him as a left winger. Add that Chelsea wanted shut of him too and I think you over paid.
