Rep, I remember that match. Happy days Why was it 2 belts though? Was it Intercontinental and World Champion belt? Actually if I remember right, Warrior was Inter holder and Hogan World at the time
Did you read his speech? ""No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own. Every manâs heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life what makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the story tellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever. You, you, you, you, you, you are the legend makers of Ultimate Warrior. In the back I see many potential legends. Some of them with warrior spirits. And you will do the same for them. You will decide if they lived with the passion and intensity. So much so that you will tell your stories and you will make them legends, as well. I am The Ultimate Warrior. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever."" Quite haunting! Heart attack through using steroids in the past? Most wrestlers are abnormally big
It must have been the stress of returning or something. Notice how Warrior stayed away from the limelight until this last weekend. Then he just drops. The paramedic report is saying natural causes and just a major trauma of some kind, presumably heart related, hemorrhage or massive stroke I guess. Wrong to speculate anyway. He will def have been on the 'roids at some point, he didn't look too huge though at WM30. I think there was a rift between him and Vince so his coming back for the HoF was putting that to rest, maybe he felt he got closure and that now it was ok to go. I dunno.
Its certainly weird timing Used to love his entrance and face paint! Did you always notice as well how Hulk Hogan came into the ring with hair but then by the end of the match he didnt have any/much
I did always wonder how he was losing hair during matches. The two belts in the vid you posted are because it was a winner takes all match Warrior's IC title up against Hogan's WC belt.
I think it must have been as his bald patch got gradually sweatier and shinier it just seemed larger as your attention was drawn to its gleaming under the lights.
He did have a really shiny head Never liked Hogan much as a wrestler, he was alright but always thought he was a bit boring compared to others
He was the predecessor to Cena and the five moves of doom. Just sort of solid in all departments but always in the 'superman' role. At least he turned heel with the NWO, that changed things up and gave him a new character and attitude.
Id stopped watching by the time Cena was in it, bits ive seen on youube it still seems entertaining but for me, when I watched it as a lad is when it was at the most entertaining
I watched it as a kid when it was Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Mr Perfect, Typhoon, Earthquake, Hacksaw Jim Duggin, Macho Man, Rowdy Piper, etc. Stopped watching it for a while before getting into it again in my mid to late teens when it was HHH, The Rock, Stone Cold, etc. Not followed it for years now though.
Same here, all those wrestlers you mentioned seemed to have more personality somehow I used to like 'Superfly Jimmy Snuka (both his kids wrestled as well I just read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Reiher,_Jr. + http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamina_Snuka - daughter) Brutus Barber Beefcake, Ravishing Ric Rude, Texas Tornado, Legion Of Doom, Rockers, Hart Foundation, Jake the Snake, Demolition, Pappa Shango, Bushwackers etc...... ah happy memories
I loved Superfly and tried to copy is move when fighting my brother Never liked Tornado, thought he was boring bar his punch.
