You claim Williamson is awful but you suggest Upson? Trust me, had Williamson been at the World Cup last year, Germany would not have put as many as four past England.

I would get a decent good young CB from the french league like we did with Bassong, wouldnt cost too much. But I would prefer to get a decent RB as Im still not to convinced with Simpson. Or we could get Onouha who could cover CB/ start RB.

I've just never rated him. I personally would prefer Upson.

Is your name really Pythagoras, or is it your alter-ego? Gotta say I think you may be schizophrenic

Its my alter ego, my alter ego is Pythagoras Beasley, i just give him a backstory.

I use my real self when i need to be normal, you know job interviews, or out in public, or with the family.

when i want to dominate women in the bedroom or berate morons on forums i slip into my pythagoras persona, he just doesnt hold in his opinions to save others feelings and is more flamboyant and self righteous.

Zapata and Samba are just silly siggestions, they're going to Liverpool and Arsenal and would cost loads.

I want Colo and Taylor to be the starters, Williamson and Kadar as cover, it's time we showed some faith in him.

Tavernier is a right wingback in my opinion, VERY light and similar in style to Ferguson but with a little less strength.

So long as Colo stays I think our starting defence is pretty sorted but to cover injuries I'd have Sonko (free agent) and Bougherra (wants out of Rangers) and I will keep suggesting it until it happens. ;)

ps. Pythagoras, wind your neck in, if you'd bothered to look OP is from Kosovo so all things considered I think his English is pretty impressive, no need to be nasty.

haha fair point, I just thought he'd be a cheap option but he's shown himself to be decent when playing in the CL.

I wouldn't say no to a CB. I'd rather that we got a young lad who can play CB/RB (basing this on the arrival of N. Taylor) and can slip in behind Kadar and Simpson in the pecking order for their respective positions. Behind Kadar we're totally ****ed and bear in mind both Colo and Willo got sent off in one game this season so we had to play 3rd + 4th choice for 3 games!

True but that was a one off, we never needed more than 4 CBs this season. Campbell was 4th choice and only made 8 appearances (2 as a sub).

Me neither but he seems to be highly-rated, has performed at the highest level but doesn't have a hyper-profile to inflate his value. He wants out of Rangers and they seem resigned to selling him, he's 28 (I think) so is in his prime and I can't see him asking for wages more than we can handle. Could force his way into the first team I reckon and is more realistic than Samba albeit probably not as good.

Sonko would just be there to make up numbers, he can play all along the back 4 and has come off a decent season in the Championship. I see him as Campbell's replacement, that 'just in case' player.
