At the end of the day, we can't really skit a loan player for loosing heart and commitment when the players on permanent contracts aren't showing as much. Like I've always said, loan signings can help strengthen a squad, but when you have to rely on them to drag you out the **** you know your squad is ****ed.
Never rated him tho. can't even remember the last time he played well. please don't talk about the 15mins at liverpool.
I did but he hasn't got loads of ability tho. even cattermole trys to pass the ball forward more & that says it all to me.
I agree with your assessment of Ki but I am not a fan of Catts and I prefer Bridds to be honest, I also prefer Gards to Lars. With Gards their is a chance of a goal from outside the box, Catts goal was superb last night but 1 goal in 100+ starts.
I'm not cattermoles biggest fan but **** me he is better than bridcock. please tell me what bridock brings to the team?
I'd hazard a guess that this new formation of 5 at the back means all we do is hump the ball forward (with no big man up top). With 4 at the back and 5 in midfield there's more options. 3 in a central midfield is pretty easy to mark against - especially when your wing backs aren't an outlet because the oppo wingers have pushed on. When he played as the deep lying playmaker he stood out miles, and that's the system I'd have stuck with. But I don't get paid to make decisions, Gus does - playing 5 at the back and still conceding 5, piss poor in my opinion.
Problem is our squad is so unbalanced we can't play any formation effectively, The whole squad has been formed by multiple dodgy visions with different ideas none of which have worked, We're spliced, a freak of nature.
Bridcutt has done absolutely nothing, and looks terrified of the ball, how do you prefer him to Catts, who at the very least is committed and fearless?
I get the sentiment, I really do. I know we're doomed but I'd at least like us to have a go. This 5 at the back malarky is almost like we've gone into damage limitation mode before matches have even started - and it hasn't worked. Why play Johnson (our form player) in a role he's virtually never played before? He was further forward than Borini the majority of the time. Why hump numerous long balls forward to two small lads when we've recalled a big lad in Wickham, who's yet to really play? I know I'm having a whinge, but the numerous gutless performances for my club are bringing me down, along with the rest of us by the looks of it. That said, I'll never stop supporting 100%.
you seem to understand my point. Its pointless blaming three when everyone has let us down, even those players i really like, i.e Jonno, Catts, Mannone
I think Borini & Ki have been by far our best players but when ya surrounded by utter utter f*cking w*nkers purporting to be footballers it must get depressing. Having said that unless we beat Everton, highly unlikely, I wouldn't play them anymore this season. If by some miracle we do beat Everton and Fulham beat Norwich I will cling to hope until it's gone.
Its a close call but Catts has a wild streak which can cost the team big time, Bridds is a tidy player who does not try the hollywood option every time, hence we retain possession more, which gives the deffence a breather. Its just my opinion and I may be wrong, but our midfield is a very weak area in the team, it showed last night against Spurs at 2-1 when I think the game was still in the balance.
Bridcutt pulls out of everything though mate, far worse than a wild streak. I give him time as he joined a club in dire straits, but he's been shocking bar his debut, in a game the team cantered.
Nope. I remember you retracting your early comments when he was playing well. So you were wrong initially as he looked a good player, them you said he was ok and he turned to ****. So basically you were wrong both times. "I told you.so" only works if you don't change your mind
Gus, its funny you making the above comments about Borini because hes been discussed at length in the local press down here for the last few days. In a nutshell Liverpool basically dont want him back !! The perception among press (especially Liverpool Echo) and supporters is that the lad is way off the class and ability to ever break into their first team. It was suggested on BBC Radio Merseyside that a deal be struck with Sunderland even in the event if relegation and that a 50% drop on what they paid for him may clinch the deal ( talking approx 5 million ) personally i cant see him wanting to stay here nor will we be about to pay that for a lad playing in the championship.
