This is kind of my point. Williamson could not have started this season as the "purple" - that place was either reserved for Douglas, who we then didn't get, or MYM, who's an emergency right back. Sorry, a terrible, out of position emergency right back. But try the exercise and it becomes impossible, because you simply cannot run a football club, team or squad with such fundamentally flawed logic. What's Cisse? He's gash, but is he a purple gash? Is Anita purple, or is there a purple hole because Cabaye left? Is Sissoko purple, or is he more mauve because he SHOULD be a purple CM in a 3 man midfield, yet can't play there so is pushed out wide which isn't his purple game. What about Ben Arfa? Paid a purple wage, I'd imagine, but can't buy a game, so is he brown?

    Fcking crazy.

To be fair to Ironman he is an inventive genius whose expertise in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science rivals that of Reed Richards, Hank Pym, and Bruce Banner, and his expertise in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering surpasses even theirs. He is regarded as one of the most intelligent characters in the Marvel Universe. He graduated with advanced degrees in physics and engineering at the age of 17 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)[98] and further developed his knowledge ranging from artificial intelligence to quantum mechanics as time progressed. His expertise extends to his ingenuity in dealing with difficult situations, such as difficult foes and deathtraps, in which he is capable of using available tools, including his suit, in unorthodox but effective ways. He is well respected in the business world, able to command people's attention when he speaks on economic matters, having over the years built up several multi-million dollar companies from virtually nothing. He is noted for the loyalty he commands from and returns to those who work for him, as well as for his business ethics. Thus he immediately fired an employee who made profitable, but illegal, sales to Doctor Doom.[34] He strives to be environmentally responsible in his businesses.

Plus he has performed better and more consistently than the rest of our super heroes.

Also Ryan Gauld.............just reminding everyone about Ryan, a genuine super hero

Interestingly, there is fossil evidence to suggest that snakes may have evolved from burrowing lizards, such as the varanids (or a similar group) during the Cretaceous Period.[14] An early fossil snake, Najash rionegrina, was a two-legged burrowing animal with a sacrum, and was fully terrestrial.[15] One extant analog of these putative ancestors is the earless monitor Lanthanotus of Borneo (though it also is semiaquatic).[16] Subterranean species evolved bodies streamlined for burrowing, and eventually lost their limbs.[16] According to this hypothesis, features such as the transparent, fused eyelids (brille) and loss of external ears evolved to cope with fossorial difficulties, such as scratched corneas and dirt in the ears.[14][16] Some primitive snakes are known to have possessed hindlimbs, but their pelvic bones lacked a direct connection to the vertebrae. These include fossil species like Haasiophis, Pachyrhachis and Eupodophis, which are slightly older than Najash.

Lower than a naked, empty-bear-can-in-hand Joe Kinnear, using his spare arm to crawl through the gutter towards a beleaguered stray Whippet, prepared to engage in a fight over the meagre sustenance supplied by the used and discarded chewing gum stuck to the pavement, which said Whippet is lapping at.

Mike Williamson would probably struggle to get a game for Sunderland, and that's saying something.

Willos been an improved player this season, he's been quite solid.

Good luck with that, he appears to be doing Mike's pie run and stealing a few for himself.

Well hopefully he'll take his fat arse elsewhere in the summer along with the rest of the non triers. And the manager. And a good portion of the coaching team.

A major shake up is needed.

    Speculate to accumulate.

MA doesn't want to have empty seats and he must have heard rumblings of discontent (non renewal of ST's ) from the supporters and may put his hand in his pocket to keep us going.

Get rid of Obertan at all costs. Then sack Pardew. His replacement can then decide which players he'd like to keep, which to offload, and which to bring in.

We missed the boat with Martinez (though he would surely have signed for Everton anyway). If Fulham go down, I'd like to see an approach for Felix Magath; he has a decent record and has improved Fulham markedly.

We really should let Benny play in the nr 10 role for the rest of the season.

What's the point in playing De Jong? He's not adapted well enough. Maybe he needs time who knows, but Benny deserves a chance of 5 games playing football, even if only to put him in the shop window for other clubs.
