    Stay with XP
    Windows 7
    Windows 8.1
    Linux
    Mac OS
    Android
    Other

Is a hardware refresh a must or can you squeeze another few years out of that 10 year old piece of kit?

If you only use your PC to visit forums and download porn does it really matter?

You can get windows 7 for about £30 on eBay, I switched over about a year ago and I wished I had done it long before that.

Prefer the genuine versions, can't be arsed with the hassle of a dodgy OS.

Got Windows Vista on my laptop, not sure where that fits in in the version history.

It was the successor to XP, it's on it's last legs too.

My desktop's got XP, never changed or reinstalled since I bought it around 2002, probably should get a newer machine but it does what I need.

When I first got a PC it had Windows 3.1 and a 100MB hard disk. Where I first got a software job we were clearing crap out of the cupboards and there were discs for "Chicago" which is what Windows was called originally so my colleague said.

    Its 2014 Dev.

Most cracked OS's are just the same as the legit versions. **** I can update and everything (bar the one update that tries to catch you out <laugh>)

Most cracked versions won't even allow you to install it.
