I reckon if he goes to Chelsea he'll be making a massive mistake. I'll tell you why. 1.Chelsea have at least 10 players over 30.They at some point need replacing. Most of which make up the backbone of their team, and they include JT,Fat Frank,Dogbreath,Le Sulk and Cashley. 2.RA wants instant success. 3.If he doesn't gain instant success,he'll be booted out and his stock will fall dramatically. 4.He may be too young for the phsycological warfare that goes on in the premiership. Most of it is instigated by ''you know who''.Okay Kenny was only 35 when he first butted heads with ''you know who'' but Kenny is a gruff Glaswegian. This guy is more mild mannered, and ''You know who'' will make bits of him.
i can already see, a disappointing loss and Terry thinking " Wait, I'm older than this guy, played international, won domestic cups, what does he know? Was he even a player?" I hope nothing like this comes out and if he goes to Chelsea they respect him as those accomplishments at that young of an age, you have to respect that.
You anticipating the Harry Potter movie? I'm pumped too m8! haha Almost no witch or wizard dares to speak his name, instead referring to him as "You-Know-Who", "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" or "the Dark Lord". He was born Tom Marvolo Riddle, the last descendant of wizard Salazar Slytherin,[2] one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
It all depends on his manner. If he's got the same manner as ''Big Phil'',the Chelsea players will eat him alive. There is massive egos in the Chelsea dressing room that make Mourinho's look small. If he's got the same manner as Mourinho, and he says ''I'm the boss and when I say jump, you say how high'' then he'll do fine.He must stamp his authority from the first minute. Bluff. I get accused of mentioning the Senile Arrogant Fool too often,so thats why I refered to him as ''You know who''.
I still haven't named him,However I cleverly provided the initials when I said ''Senile Arrogant fool''.He's also a ''SOAB'' and a ''C U Next Tuesday''.
I wish I was decent at photoshop as I would love to find a top Voldemort picture and throw Saf's head on it! Wouldn't change too much though.
What is all this sillyness. It's perfectly alright to say the name - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MOYSE On the liverpool board
This has got to be some sort of record.. the thread descended into a thread about Man United on the first page; we're on 31 replies and still no Man Utd fans to be seen.
He's worked with them before. They know he's one of the most knowledgeable people in football and they also know how highly Mourinho valued AVB's opinion while he was there.
He has only worked with the older members of their squad and one of their major problems is the older members of their squad!
I think he is an excellent coach. His record last season for Porto was excellent and I think he would fit in well at Chelsea. He worked under Mourinho at Chelsea and also has experience under Sir Bobby Robson when he was Porto manager. I think he would be an excellent appointment for Chelsea.
I just hope he doesn't fall foul of RA's rotating door managerial policy. He looks like a great young manager and a man who gets things done. I would rather he spent another year at Porto to see how he fared in the CL. If he does get sacked for not winning the champions league in his first year at Chelsea I hope he rises above it and doesn't take it too hard. Mourinho bounced back but he believes himself god's gift to football. I also want to see how he handles the Ego at Chelski, especially with the age of the squad they have, and it'll be interesting to see how they react to it. Altogether I wish him the best, but to come 2nd to us in everything he does
Can't blame the guy. He was never a player so it's not as if he's just retired on a footballer's fortune and only has the football to think about. He clearly wasn't looking to leave, so can ask for terms that would secure his finances for life. Who would turn that down? It's just a shame he's walking into one of the most dysfunctional clubs around and i wonder whether, if he could be guaranteed the same wages in 2 years at a more stable club, then he wouldn't be taking the Chelsea job now. Would rather he's kept away from the Mancs as a replacement for Alex though, and since i don't think Chelsea have the best conditions for him to succeed, and will have to pay millions for him, i won't get worried yet.
Imagine if Chelsea had an owner with RA money but also with sense and a bit of football knowledge. That would be scary.
I reckon he should stay at Porto and wait until the King retires, and becomes our boss,he would be at far more stable club than Chelsea, who are as you said quite dysfunctional.
