This is not how you play mind games...

The correct response was that Rooney has no chance of playing on Wednesday, making sure the press have a pic of him hobbling along on crutches, and then having him magically appear in the tunnel on gameday. <ok>

Go a little further and have Waynes funeral tomorrow morning. That'll show them we mean business.

I would rather see Butner at left back than Evra. I'm sick to death of Evra bombing down the left and then jogging back slowly. If you don't have the legs to back anymore then you shouldn't be going forward. Butner played really well the other night against Robben, so I hope Moyes keeps him in the team

Yeah, I'd agree with that, totally, Januzaj, too, I'd maybe even plump for Nani in the starting lineup as well, just to give them someone pacy and tricky to deal with.

Rooney in front of Januzaj Kagawa Nani, in front of Carrick/Fletcher Fellaini/Fletcher would be as strong as team as we could put out, in my opinion.

I would start with Welbeck in place of Januzaj, Bayern just couldn`t handle his pace and Adnan is still too raw, still good to bring on for the last 30 mins though if needed.

I don't want Januzaj to start as he is a luxury player, who won't roll his sleeves up and battle defensively. Don't get me wrong I rate the kid highly, I just don't think we have a strong enough midfield to accommodate a luxury winger like Januzaj against a side as good as Bayern. Remember the Liverpool game when he was playing on the left, and he left Evra completely exposed down that flank, as he didn't get back properly, and when he did he was making half hearted attempts to win the ball. We need players with a lot more defensive aggression, as we're going to have our backs against the wall for most of the game tonight.

    My team would be

    De Gea

    Rafael Rio Vidic Butner

    Valencia Carrick Giggs Welbeck
    Rooney
    Hernandez

I read one of the pundits asking which of Chelsea or United had the most difficult task.

Chelsea have to win by 2 goals if they do not let one in. Otherwise they have to score 3 goals or more than PSG.
PSG are the French champions elect. Chelsea is playing at home so home advantage and home crowd behind them.

United has to score at least one goal and then at least match whatever Bayern do. United is playing away.

    Which one would you prefer?

United have done Chelsea's job last round. With Olympiacos. But then PSG >>>Olympiacos and I can see the French scoring a goal.
Bayern is tough but United have played better away (in the prem) in general than at home. The task is to score at least one goal to start with. In fact if the germans score first the task is still almost the same.

This is tough and the odds are still against United but I wouldn't choose to have Chelsea's task.

The bookies think Chelsea are a lot more likely to go through than us, but I think it's a lot closer than that

    Both are very difficult.

Bayern >>>PSG but if PSG scores the night is over for Chelsea.

Whereas if bayern scores united is still very much in the game.

That wouldn't work, UIR. Wayne would turn up to read the eulogy like Brick in Anchorman 2! <laugh>

I agree. You've got more chance of getting though than Chelsea, but you both could do it. It's a funny old game! <ok>

  18. Are the bookies based in London? <laugh>

Man Utd clearly have a better chance of getting through IMO. However, I don't think either of you will.

Of course the odds are huge against United. Bayern are the current champions and are at home, having already won their domestic league. Expect all the ******ed scousers to gather round their board, praying for Bayern goals and for United to get thrashed...and to go apoplexic with any good United move. Astroturd the ******ed clown will have a meltdown if United score. Once ******ed always ******ed <ok>
