I reckon we're just not as big or 'passionate', as we thought. So many people seem content to sit and watch it on tv. The pubs will be rammed, why dont people use their beer money to bloody go instead? If we'd played Wigan and they'd sold their customary 8k Wembley wouldve been empty!
It wasn't, this is our first semi-final at Wembley, as they've only just started playing semi-finals at Wembley.
It's our first semi final at Wembley, Patty. We played in the final of the playoffs & beat Bristol City. We drew with Arsenal in 1930 at Elland Rd & had lost the replay at Villa Park.
Just in the name of accuracy, the Blunts haven't been given any of our tickets, we still have 32,000.
when we last got to a Semi it was played at a neutral ground other than Wembley. The choice of ground was (supposed) to give similar access to both sets of supporters. In our case, the first match was at Elland Road, the replay at Villa Park.
Well i didnt say they were given our tickets. The point is theyve been allocated the extra available seats cos we cant sell our initial allocation.
I was commenting on the fact that it is our second semi final not on the location of it. we played our 1st in 1930. now if he had said "our 1st semi final in the majority of fans living memories", I'd have been inclined to agree with him
Stop digging!! You corrected somehting that wasnt wrong. I clearly said first semi at Wembley which is correct. Why didnt you just hold you hand up?
We only sold 22,000 for our semi against Millwall last season since loads of supporters decided to save their pennies for the final because they were convinced we'd win the semi. Maybe a similar thing is going on with some of your fans? We're even worse this time round, only selling 15,000 for Arsenal - but this is our FOURTH trip to Wembley in 12 months, and loads of hardcore supporters I know are saving their money for the play off semi, and - hopefully - play off final. But we would sell out a Cup Final I'm sure.
