Well it's not like the old fart is going to post now I wouldn't think........anyway stay on topic Mod
bow4 - I know, but so am I. Important to keep enjoying the light-hearted banter, rather than the resorting to horrendous slanging matches which happens far too often on these forums. With the title race running so close, have you lot got the Premier League one done yet??
No still a way to go. Lose this weekend and we're out of it. You're welcome on our board but I must say the Chelsea board is a hive of bitterness - particularly from a couple of nasty characters. You're best off here for banter
bow4 - cheers mate....although it hurts clicking on "Liverpool" thus ensuring the word Liverpool is part of my History on my work pc. Despise 'pool for so many reasons (Stevie G vs. Super-Frank and Champions league battles - to name but two), although you lot (on and off the forum) are normally good for a laugh. I do miss the Mourinho vs. Rafa matches & battles. Can't quite get so worked up about Rodgers - I can't despise him after the good work/time he put in at Chelsea. Also, it's been at least 6 months since a "who is the best, Lampard or Gerrard?", now their roles have changed in the team. Only real bugbear/gripe I can hang onto is goofy-biter-boy. Certainly looking forward to a controversial & eventful match against you lot.....they normally are.
never out of it but i do agree this picutre will change very rapidly with a result one way or the other. right now city and lfc have it in thier own hands per mourinho. city think a draw is enough and win the rest... or win of course. If we lose then we have a mountain to climb but its never over unitl its over. as games run out it becomes more and more critical to win so we could win up to palace, throw in a draw and be a long shot on the last day for example...
I was looking at the fixtures last night trying to work out all the possible connotations but gave up in the end Lose to City and I just can't see any way back as City have two home games afterwards which are pretty much bankers. A draw takes it out of our hands but still a fighting chance. Even if we win it's still going to be tough as we all know what Liverpool have been like in previous seasons away to Pullis's teams (for example). Think we just have to sit back and enjoy the ride
Was "daring to dream" last night myself. We win the next four games and City draw to Everton, we would win the league with a game in hand... However, I don't think it will be so straight forward... could be a few twists and turns to come. Like others have said, time to stop worrying and start enjoying it more! #whatwillbewillbe
I've got my t-shirt and scarf done- best to be prepared. Mind you, I've still got the ones from the last 20 years. Anyway, I hope Eto'o gets sent off, the goal-line technology stuff goes tits up and we win by a "ghost goal", Maureen goes berserk and attacks the ball boys and the tea-lady and is sent to Siberia.
I like your style. For me, a Gerrard og and Suarez missing a header and smashing into the goal post would be ideal - especially if during the face-plant, he gets booked for diving. I'd like to see Lampard score the winner through a triple deflection. Our games rarely go without some sort of controversy. Can see a bunch of yellows and at least 1 straight red. Can't wait
I'm not even thinking of this game. Couldn't care less what Maureen says or does or does not do. One game at a time and our next one is City!
