It already has. Even if the FA turn it down the fans still look spineless because of it all.

I've seen a vote from the FSA which went against the proposal of name change.
A vote from the OSC which went 60/40 against.
A vote of the ERFA which voted 22 to 2 against.
And a 'vote' that went 49 in favour, with nearly 800 uncounted papers, 9,000 season ticket holders not bothering to vote at all yet the local media headline 'Hull fans vote No'

Fully expect more self-centred egotistical spite against Hull City by the current owners on the eve of the SF after the FA meeting this week tells em where to go.

they have stated apparently that no more statements will be made by the club until after the semi. If the vote goes against the Allams on Wed, which it will, they wont be able to contain themselves, you see.

I really hope AA builds a new stadium in Melton. That seems like his only choice.
It will be a pain to get to, but the KC should be left to the council. If HCC want it so bad, leave it to 'em AA.

I really can't tell if you're just doing it on purpose? If not, there's probably 1 football fan in the whole country who hopes his team move out if the geographical area for which it is named.

Interestingly, I honestly 100% think part of Allam's plan is to cut all ties with Hull, move out of the city and drop the word from the name instead becoming The Tigers so tapping into a wider fan base with no geographical restrictions. Kind of the way Juventus were named deliberately without any geographical tie so the whole of Italy could support them.

    I mean it.

Well as he and Ehab have publically stated that they do not have the funds to keep on bankrolling the club that will not happen this side of the next millenium.

no.. think about it (hard I know)
AA is having a spat with the council over the ownership of The KC.
If he doesn't get his own way and get the name change (for financial reasons, as he claims, which I am not so sure about).

IF he gets to build a new stadium, he will be able to save face on the name change, he will still be able to plow money into our PL campaign.

but as you have already thought of all that, I kinda feel stupid for patronising you like this.

There's a nice new stadium sat doing nothing in Coventry. Perhaps the Allams can move their football club there.

    Man U play in Salford.
we'd be Hull City, located in Melton.
OR we can be Hull Tigers located in Hull.

I have zero doubts whatsoever that the stadium 'spat' was purely a precursor to wanting to change the name and his 'basis' for doing it. He went to the council with an impossible offer of zero pounds which he knew they'd refuse. This gave him what he saw as the motive for forcing through an egotistical name change.

On the part about 'saving face' though, do the poll results maybe do this for them? When / if the FA refuse, will they stay and say 'oh well, the people of Hull supported us' and that means he doesnt walk away £80m out of pocket? I do wonder if after the FA announcement we might see a different tact from him.

Or am I being too gnerous to him?

Old Trafford is actually in Trafford (Greater Manchester). Its about 5 minutes walk from what would be classed as Salford(there is a sign saying welcome to salford at this point)
