You can't support City if there isn't one.

Not necessarily. It depends on how the corporate votes went. For example if 6 people voted and held 60 votes between them that would be only 2511 people who voted yes. He held a breakfast with the sponsors at the time the ballot was announced.

When that **** Prescott got in, every time in East Hull, with only 40% of the vote with 40% not bothering to vote he didn't question the veracity or the integrity of the vote ..The other 40% couldn't be arsed to vote...TOUGH TITTY. CTWD lost the popular vote.. Live with it. Its called democracy.

The emboldened is just a tacky space filler of a sentence.

It's not even about a difference of opinion on how to do things. It's about Allam and only about him. He came up with this stupid idea and he's forcing it as far as he can. When questioned upon it he's making things worse by engineering this fan/club divide that now exists. He's lied and deceived people all the way along. Our whole club is forced to go along with this ridiculous idea that only he truly believes in. It's cost us a Managing Director among other things (we still haven't replaced him remember).

I hate having to talk about this as much as you do, but don't blame the fans. It's all about one man being a total **** and nothing more than that.

What a bizarre argument. General elections are done properly and by independent parties, that's why no one doubts the legitimacy of them. This was an Allam poll carried out only to get the exact result he wanted. What you won't see at a general election is people not voting being counted as having a particular view.

Where has the club or Allam claimed the people who didn't vote are for him.

The club have just announced that there were more votes counted for the name change than votes counted against the name change.

They actually said a majority of votes cast were for the the change, which, funnily enough, is bullshit.

No they haven't. They've completely failed to report the actual relevant numbers which are 42.8% against and 43.7% for.

They've deliberately reported the No votes as a percentage of the overall population (16.7%), which is simply incorrect. Ballots don't work like that. They've not done the same with Yes votes (17%) because they don't want people to see that. By their own twisted logic they've shown that 83% of people have voted against the Allam family's continued ownership of the club. Of course that logic is ridiculous but it's the logic they're using. So 20 hours remaining.

The deceit is obvious and an attempt to ignore it is just pathetic.

You understand that cast vote means those who placed their vote in the ballot box don't you?

Why's it idiotic? Why have we all got to be so eternally grateful to the ****? Any reasoning for this or just that no one is allowed to be anti-Allam?

Your comment about the next owners is ridiculous. We've got a **** owner, so you're saying we should be scared we might get another **** one and hope to never have a change of owner?

    43.7% is not a majority.

The majority of votes cast weren't for the name change. A sizable minority said they weren't bothered but would still watch the club. There is no way of knowing whether they are for or against the name change. The only thing we can say is that if the name changes they will still go to watch Hull Tigers.

I believe the above post reflects the views for most Hull City supporters. Well done for a bit of common sense.

A majority is a subset of a set consisting of more than half of the set's elements. This can be compared to a plurality, which is a subset larger than any other subset considered; i.e. a plurality is not necessarily a majority as the largest subset considered may consist of less than half the set's elements. In British English, majority and plurality are often used as synonyms, and the term majority is also alternatively used to refer to the winning margin, i.e. the number of votes separating the first-place finisher from the second-place finisher.

A majority may be called a simple majority to contrast with other types of majority: an overall majority, in parliamentary systems, is the difference of legislators between the government and its opposition;[1] an absolute majority is a majority of all electors, not just those who voted;[2][3][4] and a supermajority is a stronger majority than a simple majority

This exchange pretty much sums up the situation since last August when all this **** started. Name changer makes angry post about someone else's perfectly legitimate view, someone like me challenges it, original name changer starts crying and pretends to have won.

Your reply to Filey was bullshit and when questioned, all you can say is you give up.
