Why is it a sad day... We are 9 points from the relegation zone, and a wembley semi final to look forward to. It's a great day for the silent majority.
I didn't see a date on that statement and assumed it was released pre-results and therefore not a reaction to the outcome. But my point is, would the posters on here show the same level of disdain for the results if they were "favourable"?
Its not embarrassing at all. The result will have little or no effect on the FA who are the ones to say yes or no. As the majority don't care about the name they'll be happy to remain Hull City. The person who should be most worried is Assem Allam. He put £80 million into Hull City, is the owner of the most successful City team ever, with a Wembley semi-final on the horizon, threatened to walk away if the vote didn't go his way, and only 17.06% out of a turnout of less than 40%, voted for him.
Yes. The proof of that is the multitude of posts saying exactly that since the poll was announced. Given the **** ups were predicted, it makes it even more disdainful.
There was no blackmail attached to the no vote. If there had been an option to vote yes I doubt many would have voted but it was a double edge sword (vote my way or ill take my ball home).
i think Andy asked time and time WHY did people NOT vote when a No vote was always a massive risk to being classed as not bothered . The excuse that the FA dont care about the vote , or the question was weighted is a tad immaterial , ** if you dislike the name change and dislike the vote system surely you cant approve of Allam !! So on that basis its a total NO vote , I think the man is operating on thin ice and i wouldnt care if he did one tomorrow !! Now ,i have read about the problems some may of had in voting but for such an important issue im surprised at the low count . The Vote should have been a turnstile ballot where you put a card in one of 2 (ok they wanted 3 options - the third option could be a waste bin ) that way , there would be no if and buts .
The silent majority stayed silent. The owner asked for their support and they kept quiet and withheld it.
Jesus, who the **** cares about this poll? It's not going to make one jot of difference. CTWD have won. Give it up, Assem.
It's sad that the fans who support the team vocally at matches are resented by the club. It's sad that we're having to have this conversation instead of talking about the semi-final. I've already answered this and you ignored it. Desperately finding things to belittle about fellow fans was clearly more important to you.
The Allams certainly lost - shocking that only 2,500 backed them. The sad thing is that this saga will run again all next season.
Sad that on a day we lose a club legend the battle lines are drawn again and the bickering continues. Whether you're for, against or impartial to the name change, the divide amongst supporters of the same team has been the most unpleasant part about it. It's even worse when the whole thing could have been avoided in the first place! With regards to the poll, I doubt the FA will take it into account and I feel their decision has already been made. The sooner we can all forget this name change nonsense, falling out and get back to talking about football, the better.
Allam ruined what little chance he had of winning the FA over when his 'poll' offered three heavily-loaded responses to a non-existent question He might have panicked 2,000 people into thinking the club will go under if we don't become Hull Kellogg Katz, but he's still royally ****ed it up
Doesn't matter who won or lost. Both sides are desperately clinging onto the low turnout but that means nothing other than the vote was poorly conducted and we have a largely apathetic season ticket base (note, not fan base). We knew that already. The fact is the ballot is a total shambles. How can you vote on two separate questions with one response? How can we value the results of a poll which was done entirely under the control of Allam? These men are utter cheats. So much that they do, both in the public domain and behind the scenes is just disgusting. They've made our club a laughing stock this season and an unenjoyable one to support. They need to just **** right off asap. 21 hours now.
If it's about winners, most people decided the vote was flawed from the minute it was offered. It's not clear what the ballot is for, but the Allams said it was a vote of confidence to give them a mandate to pursue their case through the law courts. Accepting that they can't really take it through the Courts anyway, does anyone really believe a clearly flawed vote showing 83% don't either support them and/or the name change is of any use?
Bearing in mind that this whole name change saga started because of a dispute with the Council, I trust that all the "Yes" voters will be happy to travel to the East Riding to watch their team. Because if Mr Allam can get the them out of the KC he will. If he had the money he would do it now but I reckon we could be Melton Tigers within five years. And I personally will be supporting thd newly formed Hull City AFC ( 2019) in my home city.
And I didn't vote in this mickey mouse rigged ballot. There was no legitimacy to it therefore rendering the result irrelevant.
